Kimora Lee Simmons Gets Phat Child Support from Russell Simmons

Kimora Lee Simmons got custody of her and Russell Simmons two daughters, Ming (9) and Aoki (6) on Thursday. Russell was also ordered to pay $40,000 a month in child support.

A judge also ruled on Thursday that Kimora, who has her own reality show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, ultimately decides whether or not to put her Ming or Aoki on her reality show. Sounds a lot like Denise Richards.

Kimora has a successful clothing line, modeling career, a reality show, and she’s already a multimillionaire. If she doesn’t NEED the money, then why does Russell still have to pay child support? Wasn’t child support established to help kids when money was "needed" to raise them?

We know Russell isn’t too happy with the custody arrangement since he asked for joint custody. Too bad dads are second class citizens in our very sexist society.

Kimora Lee Simmons is Pregnant

Kimora Lee Simmons is pregnant with her third child. The daddy is boyfriend Djimon Hounsou, who will be a father for the first time. Hounsou said in an interview:

"My first impression has always been the same, that she’s a very beautiful lady, very capable and intelligent and smart with great family values. She’s the least high-maintenance lady I’ve ever dated."

That’s because Kimora already got a big chunk of money from her ex husband Russell Simmons, who fathered her first two daughters Ming and Aoki.

Last year Kimora told Harper’s Bazaar:

"I have a lot of hang-ups in life with men. I’m not very trusting. After my breakup, I thought, ’I don’t need anything.’"

This is not going to go well for Hounsou. He has no idea what he’s in for.

Kimora Lee Wants Money

In Kimora Lee’s divorce filing in March, Lee (33) requested that Russell Simmons (50) get "reasonable child visitation … to be accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel."

Supervised visitation? Is Kimora accusing Simons of something, or is this just all about abusive power and control?

Simons, on the other hand, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of his and Lee’s daughters, Ming (8), and Aoki (5).

Kimora wants full custody, because joint custody means no child support. It’s wrong to use kids as a bargaining chip to get money from a daddy, just because the courts will let her get away with it.

My biggest pet peeve are people who use the kids to fight each other in a divorce. Set aside your own issues, and think about what the kids want first.

Kimora Lee has filed for divorce from Russell Simmons for a second time. This time Kimora means to make it official. Kimora cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She is asking for legal and physical custody of the couple’s two daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee. In this petition she is not seeking spousal support.

Now here’s the knife in Russell’s back. Kimora asks that "reasonable child visitation" be granted to Russell, but that the girls be "accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel." In other words, Kimora wants Russell to have supervised visitation. Kimora seems to have issues with power and control. Fathers are treated like second class citizens by some women.

Russell released a statement through his rep, saying "Although I haven’t read the papers, I’m excited for closure on this issue. I love her to def and I will always wish her happiness and success."

Kimora Lee Simmons Sued by Macy’s

Kimora Lee Simmons overcharged Macy’s for her beauty products and then refused to pay back the extra profit, according to a lawsuit filed last week in Manhattan Supreme Court.

In September 2006, four months after Simmons separated from her multimillionaire husband, Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons, she signed an agreement to provide Macy’s with her line of cosmetics. Then she allegedly jacked up the price of her beauty products.

That’s a smart business woman right? Wrong. It’s illegal.

Rumor was that Kimora and husband Russell Simmons split, but they were recently seen together, so maybe they are back together. Despite Kimoraâ€™s tough talk, I donâ€™t see Russellâ€™s mistress looking like sheâ€™s had her butt kicked yet.

Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons are getting divorced. Seems spring brings a new start. This is only good news for Russell. It seems Kimora is a bad apple.

Even though Kimora got busted for possession of pot she still manages a supermodel smile. The picture is from July 26, 2004.

Kimora is also a giant compared to Russell. Maybe Kimora made him feel safe. I guess Kimora is a woman Russell can look up to, but she doesn’t set a good example. Don’t smoke and drive Kimora.

The wife of hip-hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons has been charged with possessing marijuana and avoiding police, according to law enforcement officials.

Kimora Lee Simmons, the 29-year-old model and designer of the fashion label Baby Phat, was driving home in Saddle River, New Jersey, Monday when police officers attempted to stop her car “for minor motor vehicle violations,” Lt. Robert Breese of the Saddle River Police Department told CNN.

Simmons “didn’t slow down or stop for police who had their lights and sirens on and used their public announcement system to ask her to pull over,” Breese said.

Police arrested Simmons after she eventually stopped outside her house. Officers discovered “a small amount of marijuana” in her car, according to Breese.

She was released after being charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, eluding police, careless driving, tailgating and driving with a broken brake light.
