Nicole Kidman says her father, Anthony, stood by her during the time following her divorce from Tom Cruise.

"When I went through… what I went through… I found out who my father was," she tells Britain’s Catholic Herald.

"Because there comes a time when you’re a daughter, that you suddenly need your father. And when you reach out for your father and he’s there for you, well, that’s a very special thing," the Aussie actress recalls of the turbulent time after her 2001 divorce.

"My father really stood by me at a tough time. He was strong and dignified, and I’m very grateful that I do have a good father, because having him there with me at that time put me in good stead for carrying on with my life and learning to trust again."

While Nicole shares joint custody of her adopted children Bella and Connor, now 15 and 12, with Tom Cruise, and she admits the kids prefer to live with Tom. Last week Katie Holmes revealed that Bella and Connor call her "Mom," while Nicole has admitted that they address her by her first name.

In 2006, Nicole married country singer Keith Urban in a Catholic ceremony in Australia. Today Keith has to keep listening to stories about how difficult things have been since Nicole and Tom split. Does Nicole have anything else to talk about other than things related to Tom Cruise?

Nicole Kidman told the New South Wales state Supreme Court this morning that Jamie Fawcett, who is involved in a defamation suit against a local paper, pursued her so dangerously as she rode to her parents’ house on Jan. 23, 2005, that she thought a crash might be imminent. Kidman also alleged intrusive behavior on Fawcett’s part during her honeymoon with Keith Urban, and again in Sydney after Christmas last year.

Fawcett has denied allegations of excessive intrusiveness, and has won a defamation suit in Oz for being accused of "wreaking havoc" on Kidman’s life.

I wonder if Fawcett was one of the paparazzi taking pictures of Kidman arriving to and leaving the court house.

Keith Urban won the Australian Recording Industry award for best country album, and he dedicated it to the love of his life, and wife, Nicole Kidman. Singer Keith Urban was involved in a minor motorcycle accident Monday morning in Sydney, Australia, on his way to an AA meeting, and he’s blaming…not being drunk, but the paparazzi. The Daily Telegraph say they saw Urban riding his motorcycle near his home, when he lost control and fell off. The witnesses claim they saw a photographer following Urban on another bike. Urban’s rep said:

"Today’s incident was the result of one person’s desire to do his job and my desire to maintain my privacy. Some have already attempted to inflate the facts, but the reality is this; while out riding to an AA meeting, a time when my privacy is especially important to me, I felt myself being pursued. I sped up, and in an effort to elude an oncoming car, which was making an illegal U-turn, saw no choice but to drop my bike. In actual fact, my pursuer came to my assistance, without taking photos, and helped me from the road. I returned home, got my car, and continued on my way."

First Keith blames the paparazzi for the crash because they weren’t respecting his privacy, then he blames an oncoming car making an illegal U-Turn for causing his crash, then claims the paparazzi respected his privacy by helping him after the crash without taking pictures. If this is a picture of the accident, then that car must have been making a U-Turn on the sidewalk. Drugs and alcohol can really distort a person’s perception of reality, so you wouldn’t want them on the road driving, because they might mistake you for a parking spot and drive right into you.
