Katie Holmes‘ Father Unhappy With Weight Loss Regime.

Katie Holmes’ plans to shed her post-pregnancy weight in preparation for her
marriage to Tom Cruise have been met with opposition from her father.

The actress has met with Sue Fleming, the owner of Buff Brides which specialises
in turning unfit fiancees into toned wives in a matter of weeks.

And the Mission: Impossible star is reportedly overseeing his fiancee’s fitness
regime – much to the chagrin of her dad Martin Holmes who believes his daughter
should be resting after giving birth to baby daughter Suri on 18 April (06).

He tells British magazine Reveal, "My daughter needs rest, relaxation and
recuperation.

Katie is already doing exercises to build up her back and shoulders and I simply
can’t go along with what is happening."

Reports ranging from Us Weekly to the Associated Press, all of which include the following information from Tom Cruise spokesbot Arnold Robinson:

“Her name has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose,” Robinson said in a statement.

Suri is Persian, but it is not a Hebrew name at all. Suri is a Hindu name which means “Lord Krishna.” I guess Cruise meant Hindu rather than Hebrew. All hail Lord Krishna, baby lord of the worlds.

Also of note is the fact Tom Cruise has cancelled all of his MI:3 promotional appearances, which were scheduled for next week. Tom can still be seen jumping up and down on beds, couches, bodyguards, and hop hop hopping his way all the way home.

It’s official! Tom Cruise (43) and Katie Holmes (27) have had a baby Girl. Cruise’s rep said in a statement,

“Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise joyously welcomed the arrival of a baby girl, Suri, today. The child weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches in length. Both mother and daughter are doing well. The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew meaning “princess,” or in Persian meaning “red rose.”

Althought the couple is not yet married, and Tom got Katie pregnant after only dating 6 months, Tom did say this about marriage:

“In summer we want to get married. I won’t let this woman get away.”

In other words, “don’t worry baby, we’ll get married soon, everything will be fine.” Maybe they’ll go the Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell route and not ever get married, and still be happy together. I don’t think the new relationship hormones have worn off yet. Let’s hope Tom can handle it if Katie goes psycho like Brooke Shields did after having her first baby. Anything can be cured with exercise and vitamins, even paralysis, right Tom? Mission Impossible III comes out May 5th, and stars Tom Cruise. Is Katie taller than Tom?
