Tom Cruise Helps Paparazzi After Fall
Posted on October 6, 2008 at 8:38 am (PST)
Last night in New York City, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes went out for dinner. While heading for their car an older paparazzo took a nasty fall. Tom assisted the paparazzo to right himself.
Can you think of a time when Tom didn’t offer a helping hand, or a kind word, to someone who needed it?

Katie Holmes Broadway Play a Success

Katie Holmes Broadway performance in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre has been a success, despite many who claimed the show would bomb. The theater has been 98% sold out, and was the highest grossing play on Broadway last week, even though it doesn’t officially open until October 16.
Tom Cruise looks really young in this picture.
Katie Holmes will also make a guest appearance on ABC’s Eli Stone. Pictured below is Katie as her character for Eli Stone, where she will play a non-profit attorney who has some musical talent. The show will air October 21.

Katie Holmes Broadway Debut Protested
Posted on September 19, 2008 at 1:50 pm (PST)
Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut last night in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Tom Cruise commented on Katie’s performance:
"Did you see it? … It was extraordinary."
Diane Yatauro (54), of Glen Cove, New York, thinks she nailed it. Yaturo commented:
"It was a very tough role in that she had to be delicate and hurt and strong. She was playing against some heavyweights who’ve been around for a long time and she held her own."
Another New Yorker Nadja Forbes (35) said she was impressed, and commented:
"She brings this fresh breeze of air not only in her acting but also in her dialogue that kind of breaks up the seriousness of what’s going on. I’m actually surprised that she’s, you know, enough of an actress for being on Broadway."
Although Katie’s performance received a lot of praise, an anti-scientology group called Anonymous protested outside. A group of about 20 protesters, some of whom wore V for Vendetta masks, shouted "Save Katie," and held up signs that read:
"We are protesting Scientology. It is evil. Scientology kills people. It follows you home at night. It is perverted.”
Protesting outside Katie’s Broadway debut may not have been the most appropriate forum, but they only showed up because the media doesn’t cover their protests outside Scientology headquarters much anymore.
In other news, Scientology might be banned in France, because France considers Scientology a cult and not a religion.

Anonymous claims Scientology is a cult that uses harassment and intimidation to scare people, which is why France is trying to ban Scientology. In the video below Scientology volunteers passed out flyers with real pictures, real names, and real home addresses of members of the protest group Anonymous. I have a feeling Dr. Evil from Austin Powers was based on a real person. Right Tom?
