There was so much hype about Katie Holmes dance number for So You Think You Can Dance, and the show built a big extravagant set as a tribute to Judy Garland, which resulted in the pre-taped video above, that wasn’t performed before a live audience.

Let’s see now, Judy Garland could sing and dance, and she was oozing charisma, but Holmes lacks all three. Holmes didn’t even dance, and her singing, although it sounded professionally trained, didn’t make me want to listen at all. I don’t like being so harsh, but Holmes performance sucked big time. This seems like it was a favor to Tom Cruise, otherwise the show could have picked any number of real performers to give a memorable performance.

Tom Cruise was on The View today, and he talked about Suri Cruise and Kate (Katie Holmes). My favorite part was the story Tom told about when he dressed up as Santa, and Suri said "No dada, no." Stories about Suri stole the show.

Katie Holmes is looking exhausted, so it comes as no surprise that she will not accompany Tom Cruise to the 2009 Golden Globe Awards on January 11. Katie also has an All My Sons show on the same night, which is also her last show.

Tom has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Tropic Thunder, a comedy.
