Kate Hudson (29) is making a big impression with her singing ability in the musical Nine which opens December 25 in theaters.

Hudson who plays a fashion magazine reporter on assignment in Italy in Nine. Hudson’s mother Goldie Hawn was a go-go dancer on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. An original song, Cinema Italiano, was added to the film’s lineup just for Hudson.

Rob Marshall, who will direct the adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical, calls Hudson’s skills as a singer and dancer "revelatory."

Also starring in the movie musical are Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren, and Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie).

Kate Hudson is still on her whore tour. Kate is now said to be dating Alex Rodriguez. Kate went to the Yankees game Friday. Later that evening Mustang Grill owner, Rob Olsen, said the pair went to his restaurant:

"We sat them in a private area of the restaurant, a private room off the main dining room."

"They were there for about an hour. They left around 1 a.m. They had dinner and drinks. They appeared to enjoy themselves."

A server at the Mustang Grill said:

"The bartender was asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1 a.m. because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out."

We’re not surprised. It must be nice for celebrity moms to run around like whores while nannies watch their kids.

Kate Hudson told the latest issue of Elle magazine:

"I could be in an interview and people would keep going, ‘So why do you always do romantic comedies?’ Do I want to do darker roles? Of course. It has to be the right thing, though. I’m not just going to, like, make a movie that’s, Oh, she’s a whore, prostitute, and heroin addict."

Lindsay Lohan has already done that. If I get her meaning, Kate would be fine playing those roles, only if the character has a litle more substance, like a whore who is dancing to put herself through school.

The Bride Wars movie starring Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Candice Bergen, Kristen Johnston, and Bryan Greenberg, looks just okay.

Star Magazine is reporting that Kate Hudson is calling Owen Wilson again. A source said:

"He was frosty at first. He felt betrayed when she dumped him for his friend Lance, but after a while, he caved in and has been sweet to her. It’s not fair to Owen, because he really cares for her and ends up getting hurt."

Owen needs to go to rehab to learn how to quit Kate. She’s bad for his health.
