On the Ryan Seacrest radio show the other day he had on Kate Bosworth as a guest, and they had an awkward exchange about her boyfriend Orlando Bloom.

The conversation:

RYAN: “It seems Orlando has the hots for you but won’t give up his career to commit to you. Why?”

KATE: “I don’t know! Why don’t you ask him!”

RYAN: “Hey now, don’t blame me. Maybe when I see him at the gym, I will.”

KATE: “Oh, you’ve seen him at the gym?”

RYAN: “Yes!”

KATE: “Oh,really.” RYAN: “I happen to work out at the same gym.”

KATE: “Ah, okay.”

RYAN: “You sound a little surprised! He must not be showing results.”

KATE: “It sounds like you’re checking him out?”

RYAN: “Yes, because he’s a good-looking guy that you’re dating. I’m allowed to say that.” Swifting uncomfortably he adds, “you’re way hotter!” Ryan abruptly ends the interview.

I don’t workout at Ryan’s gym, so I can’t tell you first-hand in what way he was checking out Bloom. Did Ryan have to say “he’s a good-looking guy…”? Lately, Ryan has been doing a lot of talking about man-crushes. I’m starting to think Ryan might be a little confused, and perhaps really wants to tell everyone he’s gay to just get the secret off his sweaty chest.

Kate Bosworth wore a sequined Gucci dress to the London premiere of Superman Returns. The dress was ultra sexy with no back, and stopping just above the small of her back. Bosworth is thin, but she does have a nice body. She bends over to sign autographs and gives us an almost nip slip. Nice boob shot. Obviously Bosworth wasn’t wearing anything under that dress, which makes it even sexier. There is a much bigger picture of Bosworth’s almost nip slip in the gallery. Brandon Routh was at Bosworth’s side as well on the red carpet.

Kate Bosworth and Brandon Routh were on TRL yesterday promoting the Superman Returns. The movie has already made $21 million from midnight showings on Tuesday and yesterdays official opening day. This is the 8th highest Wednesday opening. Hopes are high for more records to be broken this holiday weekend when the movie will be shown in over 4,000 theaters. The IMAX will show Superman Returns in 3D, and that should be super cool.

Kurt Loder from MTV writes about Superman Returns:

Are there astonishing action scenes? Well, real astonishment — of the “How on earth did they do that?” variety — is in oddly short supply … But for all its visual felicities, the movie is curiously flat, largely because of the casting … Kate Bosworth [is problematic]. She may be more dewily pretty than Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the earlier pictures, but she lacks Kidder’s sparky humor — she’s not much fun. And given Bosworth’s age (she’s now 23), this Lois’s long flirtation with Superman would have had to begin when she was the only major metropolitan newspaper reporter in the country too young to drink or drive. Also inadequate is Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor … A lot of talented people have put a lot of work into this movie, and since its ending all but cries out for a sequel or three, they’ll probably have a chance to get it right the next time around (should they remain onboard). The bittersweet love story is interesting, but it remains to be seen whether the young action-movie audience — the people that studios count on to be repeat ticket-buyers — will find it all that addictive after an initial viewing.
