Jon Stewart Exposes CNN Fact Checking SNL Obama Skit Rather than Their Guests
Jon Stewart on Monday pointed out how CNN spent a lot of time trying to fact check a Saturday Night Live skit that said President Obama hasn’t done anything since taking office. Stewart said:
"While you were doing your research did you also find that sharks live in water and don’t deliver candy grams… and that the majority of boxes do not have d*cks in them?"
Stewart also showed several instances of CNN guests saying spurious things, and introducing made-up statistics without being asked where their numbers came from or countered with facts.
To wrap up Stewart brought in Aasif Mandvi and John Oliver to finish burning CNN at the stake. Mandvi said:
"They’re the most professional network in the business, three times more professional. Most people agree they have 20 to 35 to 70% more facts."
Oliver countered by saying:
"They are goat f**kers."
It’s hard to argue with not made-up facts. On the bright side CNN has a great iPhone App that delivers all their B.S. straight to your phone 24 hours a day.
Ellen DeGeneres Crosses Writer Picket Line

Ellen DeGeneres isn’t just pushing the boundaries of accepted behavior in society, but she’s also raging against writers who want their fair share of profits. Ellen is pictured here crossing the striking writer’s picket line so she could do her show, even though some of her writers are picketing. Ellen told her audience:
"I want to say I love my writers. I love them. In honor of them today, I’m not going to do a monologue. I support them and hope that they get everything they’re asking for. And I hope it works out soon. In the meantime, people have traveled across the country. They’ve made plans. They’re here. I want to do everything I can to make your trip enjoyable and give you a show."
David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Conan O’Brien, who himself was an SNL writer, all shut down their show to support the writers, but not Ellen. Governor Arnold is trying to negotiate an agreement because he says everyone involved, including the writers, have money and won’t be hurt by the strike, but the camera men, carpenters, studio crews, etc., will be hurt by the strike. Had Ellen mentioned any of those people I might have given her a pass, but crossing the picket line makes her a bad guy, er butch lesbian, or whatever.
The Best Part of the Emmys – Video
Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart were the best part of the Emmys. The Emmys were sponsored by American Baked Beans. The more you fart, the faster your car will start.
Angelina Jolie Turns Out to Be VERY Involved in Press Bans

Page Six is reporting that Angelina Jolie’s denial of involvement in and apology for the restrictions placed on the press during the premiere of A Mighty Heart were disingenuous. Shocker!
But tipsters tell Page Six that Jolie went on to ban some entertainment weeklies, including Us Weekly and Life & Style, from speaking to her at the film’s junket on Friday at the Waldorf-Astoria – only deigning to allow access to OK! and her reliable ally, People magazine, which is inclined to swallow her p.r. hook, line and sinker.
Over the past few years, People has paid Jolie millions for the rights to publish photos of her and Brad Pitt’s various kids, which she gave to charities, upping her positive publicity.
Did anyone really believe Jolie when, during her interview with Jon Stewart, she disavowed knowledge of what her "people" were doing?
The guys who spoofed her appearance certainly didn’t. You can see Angelina’s entire Daily Show denial and the mocking of it
