Johnny Depp’s Daughter Lily-Rose is Healthy Again

Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose, looks much healthier as she takes a stroll along the Thames with dad. What a relief. She’s adorable.
Lily was originally thought to have had blood poisoning, but was later diagnosed as having an E. coli infection in her blood (sepsis), which affected her kidneys. Depp stayed by Lily-Rose’s bedside until she recovered, and production of Sweeney Todd was delayed.
Depp is now in England filming Tim Burton’s version of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.

Johnny Depp daughter Lily-Rose Had E Coli Poisoning

It’s been revealed that Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose battled E. coli poisoning earlier this month rather than blood poisoning as initially reported.
Staff at Pinewood Studios, where Johnny had been filming Sweeney Todd, were told that Lily-Rose’s kidneys shut down as a result of the bacteria and she was very lucky to survive.
A source reports: “Everyone gasped when we were given the real reason for her illness. It was touch and go for a while.â€
E. coli (Escherichia coli) is one of the main types of bacteria found in the lower intestines of mammals but some strains cause potentially severe illness in humans. Around 1000 people a year are treated for E. coli poisoning in the UK, usually contracted from eating contaminated food and drink. It has up to a 50% mortality rate in the elderly and children under five and can also lead to long-term kidney and sight problems.
Filming on Sweeney Todd was temporarily halted while Johnny looked after Lily-Rose, but staff at the studio have been told by Warner Bros producers that it will resume again on Monday.
Johnny Depp Quits Acting Until his Daughter Recovers

Johnny Depp has vowed to give up acting until his sick daughter has made a full recovery. Depp, 43, had been working on a new movie version of Sweeney Todd before seven-year-old Lily-Rose became ill. She was admitted to a London hospital two weeks ago but was released on 9 March and is being looked after by Depp and his wife Vanessa Paradis.
Staff at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, have been told that they will be laid off unless the actor returns by the weekend. A film source told The Sun, "He does not want to come back until Lily-Rose gets the all clear. The plan is to re-employ everybody when she is better."
Johnny Depp’s Daughter Mystery Illness Revealed

Nine days after Johnny Depp’s 7-year-old daughter was rushed to a London hospital, the cause of Lily-Rose’s mysterious ailment is being pinned on a rusty tack.
According to In Touch, "the wound was left untreated" and "blood poisoning developed. It has now spread through her body and has affected her vital organs."
While there have been several conflicting reports on the severity of Lily-Rose’s condition, Depp’s reps tell the AP that she is "doing much better." The actor has reportedly not left Lily-Rose’s bedside since she was admitted to the hospital on February 28.
Johnny Depp’s Daughter is Seriously Ill in a London Hospital

Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose is seriously ill in a London hospital. The distraught actor and his long-term lover Vanessa Paradis are keeping a vigil by their seven-year-old daughter’s bedside, who is said to be in a "serious condition". Johnny was due to start filming Sweeney Todd in England when Lily-Rose was struck down by the undisclosed illness nine days ago.
A hospital source is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "They are worried sick, but Lily-Rose is getting the very best treatment available. Johnny has not asked for any special favours but just wants the
best for his child, like any parent.
"It is such a difficult time for him but he is hanging in there for the sake of his daughter and the whole family is just praying that she gets better. They are taking each day as it comes. "It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for all of them, and he has been finding it hard keeping it together. He’s a devoted dad and is spending as much time as he can with Lily."
Johnny and Vanessa – who also have a four-year-old son John Jack – have been using a staff entrance to enter the hospital without attracting attention and are arriving for visits in a blacked-out car.
Johnny, 43, has often spoken about how his children changed his life for the better. He said: "I just want to watch my kids grow up and make sure they’re healthy and happy. They are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I never thought it was possible to feel such profound, deep love. "Being a dad has given me great strength, great perspective, great calm. More than anything, I love being with my family."
Best wishes for Johnny’s daughter and her family.
