John Travolta said, "It [global warming] is a very valid issue. I’m wondering if we need to think about other planets and dome cities. Everyone can do their bit. But I don’t know if it’s not too late already. We have to think about alternative methods of fuel. I’m probably not the best candidate to ask about global warming because I fly jets. I use them as a business tool though, as others do. I think it’s part of this industry – otherwise I couldn’t be here doing this and I wouldn’t be here now."

Before I will take Travolta seriously he’ll have to do his part by selling all of his jets, SUVs and gas guzzling cars, drive fuel efficient cars, fly the public airlines like the rest of us, and reduce his home’s energy use by installing alternative energy sources, otherwise everything he says about global warming is all hot air.

Actions speak louder than words.

Comments about a cross dressing, possibly gay in the closet, John Travolta in Hair Spray, removed at the request of the Church of Scientology.

John Travolta’s attorney is trying to defend his client against gay slurs after the star was photographed kissing another man before flying him to America on board his private jet. Publicists insisted the smooch was harmless and Travolta’s wife Kelly Preston was on board the plane which ferried the actor and the family’s male nanny home from Ontario, Canada.

Travolta’s lawyer, Martin Singer, has rushed to explain the kiss in an effort to end reports Travolta’s new cross-dressing role as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray have turned the actor gay.

Singer says, “As a manner of customary greeting and saying farewell, Mr. Travolta kisses both women and men whom he considers to be extremely close friends. People who are close to Mr. Travolta are aware of his customary, non-romantic gesture.”

But body-language expert Lillian Glass suggests the photo of Travolta kissing the nanny is more than just a friendly gesture. She tells the Globe, “John appears to be really enjoying it. His head is leaning upwards, his lips are puckered, his body is leaning in to the guy… It appears to be quite intimate.”

Over the years more than a couple of men have accused John Travolta of being gay, or having a gay affair with them. I suppose Travolta wouldn’t consider going down on another guy gay either, as long as it was a friendly gesture.

In case you don’t already know, this is John Travolta in drag again for the Hair Spray musical. Travolta looks so natural in the wig and dress. I wonder if he wears a dress at home too?

This is John Travolta in drag on the set of Hair Spray in Toronto. I saw Hair Spray at the Pantages theater in Hollywood, and it really kicked butt, seriously. The girl on the right looks like the same person in the version of Hair Spray I saw playing the lead character, but I’m not sure of it. Some of the stars Hair Spray directors are choosing for these musicals just don’t seem to fit with the story or the cast, but then again I haven’t seen Hair Spray with John Travolta, who appears to be fueling the “he’s gay” rumors with his appearance in drag. In the show I saw a guy in drag played the mom of the lead character and it was one heck of a show.
