John Travolta Artfully Sets Up His Own Shot with “Total Flair”

You can’t make this stuff up, folks.
Parade magazine has written a story so unintentionally amusing and without irony about John Travolta’s photo shoot for their upcoming cover that we have to link directly to it right now.
Enjoy! Especially the Travolta quote "Give me an idea and space to move, and I’ll know what to do."
And Parade’s delightful description of the scene.
There was a dance floor in the center of the room that made us think: Travolta, a place to dance, how can we lose? In jeans, a dark T-shirt and an Armani jacket, a fit and trim Travolta responded to the loud rhythmic music blasting from the speakers. No choreographer necessary, he was clearly having a great time, and the rest of us gleefully watched him take center stage in a fabulous performance for the camera.
Can’t you just picture it? We’re tapping our toes with glee as we type!
John Travolta as Big as Elvis?

John Travolta is really starting to get whacky. Here’s more:
John Travolta (via MSNBC) doesn’t suffer from lack of ego. The “Wild Hogs†star recently boasted that he was as big a star as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe – but didn’t suffer the same fate as them because of his values and religion.
“I have fame on the level of a Marilyn Monroe or an Elvis, but part of the reason I didn’t go the way they did was because of my beliefs,†Travolta told the Irish Independent.
The star went on to credit his sometimes controversial religion for the difference between his fate and theirs.
“People make judgments about it [Scientology], but often they don’t know what they’re talking about,†Travolta said. “I would advise anyone who wants to know about it to read up on it. We [the Church of Scientology] are only getting bigger and we help people all over the world, from disaster zones to drug rehabilitation.â€
Travolta also explained how he used his celeb status to help Scientology in Germany, where it had been under attack in some circles. “We were having a problem in Germany [where some critics called Scientology a money-making entity rather than a religion],†he told the Independent. “I talked to [former president Bill] Clinton who talked to Chancellor Kohl and things have improved since then.â€

John Travolta Forced to Execute Emergency Landing Procedures on His Boeing 707

John Travolta was forced to make an emergency landing in Ireland on Monday while piloting his private Boeing 707 from Germany to New York.
The actor, who was flying back to the USA after promoting his new movie Wild Hogs in Germany, landed safely at Shannon Airport after his Boeing 707-138B suffered “technical difficultiesâ€, thought to be engine-related. He was said to be unhurt but shaken by the dramatic incident. The 53-year-old, the only private individual to own a Boeing 707, serial number N707JT, hired another aircraft and completed the journey while the 707 was grounded for repairs.
Eight years ago the star suffered a similar mid-air drama when his plane lost an engine and he was forced to make an emergency landing in Boston.
John Travolta Dances with Ricky Gervais on the Jonathan Ross show
John Travolta may be a little chunky, but he’s still got those Saturday Night Fever moves.
Here’s the original Saturday Night Fever dance scene from the movie in 1977.
John Travolta Wants You to Take Him Seriously

John Travolta said, "It [global warming] is a very valid issue. I’m wondering if we need to think about other planets and dome cities. Everyone can do their bit. But I don’t know if it’s not too late already. We have to think about alternative methods of fuel. I’m probably not the best candidate to ask about global warming because I fly jets. I use them as a business tool though, as others do. I think it’s part of this industry – otherwise I couldn’t be here doing this and I wouldn’t be here now."
Before I will take Travolta seriously he’ll have to do his part by selling all of his jets, SUVs and gas guzzling cars, drive fuel efficient cars, fly the public airlines like the rest of us, and reduce his home’s energy use by installing alternative energy sources, otherwise everything he says about global warming is all hot air.
Actions speak louder than words.
