Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is surrounded by liberal democrats on The View, and isn’t the smartest person to be making points about Barack Obama or John McCain, got into the middle of another heated debate with her co-hosts.

Sherri brought up McCain’s first wife, who has only said good things about her former husband. Sherri shouldn’t say bad things about that marriage, when the ex-wife doesn’t. Sherri also brought up the Keating Five, from which John McCain was cleared and found innocent of any wrong doing or crimes. Sherri said McCain was associated with Keating who was convicted, and Elisabeth forgot to mention Barack Obama was associated with Antoin Rezko (Tony), who was convicted of Federal crimes, and whom Obama bought property from at a hugely discounted rate.

Barbara Walters then talked about how Barack Obama was only 8 years-old when admitted terrorist William Ayers, got off on a legal technicality because his phone calls were recorded without a warrant by the FBI, despite admitting his crime. What Elisabeth forgot to mention is that Barack Obama was chosen by Ayers to distribute $50 million in donated money a few years ago, that Ayers used to educate children on how to become rebel terrorists, who he encouraged to attack the government, and even talked about how it was okay to "kill your parents."

Those seem like relevant associations, and they are all part of Obama’s recent political life history.

I would like to see someone who is better equipped to offer a conservative counterpoint be added to the co-host table on The View, because Elisabeth just makes conservatives look weak. I’m sure that’s why Barbara loves to keep Elisabeth on the show.

Voters deserve to hear both sides of the candidates’ history.

Fox News discussed the 1989 investigation into a scandal that involved John McCain, and Charles Keating, and the Keating Five. Wikipedia describes the investigation as follows:

The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), former astronaut and American hero John Glenn (D-OH), American hero John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly intervening in 1987 on behalf of Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of a regulatory investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB). The FHLBB subsequently backed off taking action against Lincoln.

Lincoln Savings and Loan collapsed in 1989, at a cost of $2 billion to the federal government. Some 23,000 Lincoln bondholders were defrauded and many elderly investors lost their life savings. The substantial political contributions that Keating had made to each of the senators, totalling $1.3 million, attracted considerable public and media attention. After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Alan Cranston, Dennis DeConcini, and Donald Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings, with Cranston receiving a formal reprimand. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly, but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".

John McCain was cleared in the investigation, as was John Glenn.

Clint Eastwood told People in an interview at The Changeling premiere:

"I was at a function, and a bunch of political types were there. And John McCain was there. He came up to say hello, I said, ’Look, don’t even ask it. I will not be your vice president. I have to be on the top of the ticket.’ "

Eastwood was mayor of Carmel, California from 1986 to 1988. He’d probably make a great President too.

President Bush, John McCain, and Republicans tried to regulate Fannie and Freddie, and warned our financial markets could and would crash. Even Alan Greenspan gave the same warning of an impending crisis. Barney Frank and his fellow democrats blocked reform and regulation, so now we have the stock market crash, financial, mortgage, and credit meltdown that is being felt across the world. Thank you democrats for ruining the biggest economy in the world. Perhaps in the future democrats could pull their heads out of each other’s butt, and start seeing the world from a view other than just their own.

Katie Couric was allowed to travel and interview Sarah Palin for several days. Barack Hussein Obama only allowed conservative talk show host Bill O’Reilly to interview him for 30 minutes, and Obama never gave a direct answer because he refuses to commit to any position he can’t changed his mind on later.

It comes as no surprise that Katie finally found something the liberal democrats can call a weakness, and it is. Katie asked Sarah which reading material she has read to keep her informed about the rest of the world, but Sarah didn’t have an answer. I don’t believe Sarah did much reading about things outside Alaska, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Sarah will learn going forward like Obama started to learn about international issues after he started running for President. In fact, Obama is still so weak on international policy that he had to pick Joe Biden as his running mate, because Joe, who will not be President, does have international experience. If it’s okay for Obama not to have international experience even though he is running for President, then it’s okay for Sarah Palin who is running for Vice President. John McCain has more international experience than even Joe Biden, and McCain is running for President. If after several years some illness were to strike McCain, Palin would be adequately educated in international relations, and would be able to take over. Obama is in the same boat as Palin, and if elected President he won’t be ready because he’ll still lack interational relations knowledge.

As Joe Biden, Barack Obama’s Vice Presidential running mate said, "The Presidency is not something that lends itself to on the job training." Obama is not ready. He is the issue, because obama is running for President. Palin doesn’t need to know everything to be Vice President, but she will get the training in her weak areas.

McCain is ready to lead, and has been. Remember when Russia attacked Georgia. McCain came right out and condemned Russia. Obama started out saying both sides were guilty and should talk. Five days later Obama changed his position to exactly that of McCain. All while Georgia was being attack, Obama was vacationing in Hawaii, where he has temporarily suspended his President campaign to relax. When our financial and mortgage system melted down, McCain suspended his campaign and went back to Washington D.C. to work on a deal, and Obama criticized McCain for not making the first Presidential debate a priority. McCain made his country his first priority, which is something Obama doesn’t do.
