Richie also talked about the recent rumors of entering rehab to Seacrest. She said that the stories got started merely because she had not been photographed by the paparazzi for a few weeks. She said she was on tour with Joel Madden and were in random cities.

The Beverly Hills Police Department is investigating rocker Joel Madden, after a female photographer filed a "crime report" claiming he attacked her during a violent confrontation Sunday night.

According to police sources, the woman claimed Madden struck her on the left breast "with the heel of his hand" as the rocker tried to escort his girlfriend, Nicole Richie, out of the back door of Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills. The photographer said that she has a welt to prove it, and had to see a doctor for treatment.

Madden can be seen throwing a forceful, open-handed stiff-arm into the chest of another paparazzi, moments after the alleged incident. After reviewing the video I only saw Madden push the photog that stepped in front of the car door Madden and Richie were about to open. It didn’t appear Madden hurt the guy, nor did it appear that he was trying to hurt him. From the moment Madden stepped out of Mr. Chow he kept saying "get out of the way," all the way until he pushed the guy that stepped in between Madden and the car door.

If she’s going to whine, then that woman needs to quit her job as a photog, and get into someone more delicate. Being a photog is a rough business.
