Joe Francis Charged in Sex Case

  Share

Girls Gone Wild mogul Joe Francis has just been charged with one count of misdemeanor sexual battery. The charge was filed by the L.A. City Attorney.

L.A. City Attorney spokesperson Frank Mateljan says that Francis was at a birthday party in Los Angeles this past January when he allegedly touched an 18-year-old girl on the breast, buttocks and inner thigh. The woman allegedly repeatedly asked Francis to stop.

Francis will be arraigned May 22. If convicted, he faces a maximum six months in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Francis has a world of legal woes. He’s currently in a Florida jail serving 35 days for contempt of court. He faces other charges as well.

If the allegations that Francis touched an 18 year-old girl, then it’s a surprise he is being charged. Francis is facing tax fraud charges too. He’s going to need a lot of Xanax because he’s in a lot of trouble.

Side note: Akon did a lot more to a 14 year-old girl on video (click here to see the video and pictures), and the media is ignoring the story. Francis is white, and he’s in jail, as well as facing more jail time. The Akon story is being ignored because he is black, and with the black community making such a big deal out of any white guy saying anything they don’t like, no one wants to touch the Akon story, not even O’Reilly. Hollywood Grind is not going to paint a one-sided picture. No matter who does it, or what their race, we’re going to tell our readers. Blacks comment here a lot complaining because they want HG to NEVER say ANYTHING about blacks when they do something bad, well we don’t play that game. We play fair. If you do it, we report it.

The other day a rapper was on Fox News, and he said "truthfully we in the black community want a double standard…we want to be able to say racist words that whites can’t say." That attitude is not only racist, but it promotes racial hatred and a division between races. This kind of double standard is all about revenge by those that see themselves as victims. The only way to change things is to stop seeing yourself as a victim. Just because someone says they are a victim, doesn’t make it true. The 14 year-old GIRL in the video says Akon took advantage of her, and molested her. Most of the self identified blacks commenting here say the girl is at fault, and is not a victim. If the guy was white, and the girl was black, would those same people be saying the same thing? I doubt it.

If you think this article is saying all blacks believe in racist double standards, or think they are a victim, well then you are mistaken.

Joe Francis was caught coming in and out of Federal Court in Panama City, Fla., covering his face with folders and shackled in handcuffs. The "Girls Gone Wild" founder pleaded guilty today to one count of criminal contempt, and is facing three more weeks of jail time.

Joe said the judge in this case had gone wild, so why isn’t he holding his head high as if he did nothing wrong?

Joe Francis is Having Anxiety Attacks in Jail

  Share

"He can’t sleep. He hasn’t eaten properly. He’s prone to anxiety attacks. I know if it was me, I’d be cold and frustrated. Joe has been breaking down, and Joe Francis does not break down. He came back to his cell from a (lawyer) visit (this past week) and was told that he wouldn’t get his Xanax (anti-anxiety) pill because he’d missed the medication cart that day. He went into a full-blown anxiety attack."

- Aaron Dyer, the attorney for embattled Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis, who has been held in a Florida jail since April 10th

Joe Francis Busted for Drugs in Jail

  Share

Joe Francis, the millionaire founder of the Girls Gone Wild video empire was charged Thursday with bribing a jail guard for a bottle of water and having prescription sleeping pills in his cell, authorities said.

When he learned of the new charges, Joe Francis waived his right to a bond hearing for the contempt of court charge that had led to his being jailed. Francis cried as his mother blew him a kiss while he was led from a federal court room back to his cell.

"I didn’t do anything," he told his parents as he was led away, The News Herald of Panama City reported.

Francis, 34, was charged with bribing a public servant, three counts of possessing a controlled substance and five counts of introducing contraband, cash and drugs, into a detention facility. The charges are third-degree felonies punishable by up to five years in prison.

Francis offered a jail guard $100 for a bottled water Wednesday evening, court records said. When the guard refused, Francis showed him $500, investigators said. Inmates are not allowed to have cash in the jail.

When supervisors searched Francis’ cell, they found 16 prescription pills, including the sleeping medication Lunesta and the anti-anxiety pill lorazepam, according to court records.

The president of Mantra Films Inc., which produces the "Girls Gone Wild" videos, was arrested Thursday for supplying Francis with the pills and cash, Bay County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ruth Sasser said. Scott Barbour was charged with introduction of contraband into a detention facility. He was scheduled to have a first appearance Friday.

Francis just keeps digging his hole deeper. He really needs to stop digging.

Joe Francis Indicted for Tax Evasion

  Share

Joe Francis, the Girls Gone Wild founder, was indicted today on federal tax evasion charges for illegally deducting more than $20 million in phony business expenses from his 2002 and 2003 corporate tax returns. According to a two count indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Reno, Nevada, Francis, 34, sought to conceal income through the use of offshore companies and nominees. At one point, he transferred $15 million from one offshore bank account to a California brokerage account in the name of a Cayman Islands corporation he controlled.

If convicted of the federal charges, he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000. Francis was arrested yesterday on an unrelated federal warrant stemming from a civil lawsuit brought against him by seven underage women who were filmed by "Girls Gone Wild" cameramen in Florida in 2003. The contempt citation was issued after Francis rebuffed a judge’s order to settle the case with the aid of a mediator.
