Jessica Simpson was on 107.5 The River when she responded to a Carrie Underwood statement in Allure magazine that said Tony Romo still calls Carrie, who is Tony’s ex girlfriend. Jessica said:

"Tony and I both laughed at that. We got a chuckle out of it. I know it’s not true, I looked at his call log. I’m kidding!"

She’s not kidding. Jessica doesn’t trust Tony. He should have left when the getting was good.

Jessica also revealed something Tony has to put up with while he dates Jessica in the video above. Jessica likes to fart under the sheets. Does Jessica think that farting turns guys on?

Jessica Simpson will appear in ads as a spokeswoman for Stampede Light Plus, a beer made by Dallas’s Stampede Brewing Co., that includes vitamins. In exchanged Jessica will appear in store ads for the beer, and get a 15% stake in the company.

In a statement, Simpson said that as an entrepreneur, she is "always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people."

"Yes, I work out and take care of myself, but I also like a cold beer once in a while." Bottoms up!

Hallmark has created more comical cards that display Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson in a realistic light. Although their attorneys will call it trademark infringement, Hallmark will call it satire, and a first amendment right. We’ll side with Hallmark. Both cards should come with hand wipes that kill germs.

Jessica Simpson is on the new September 2008 cover of Elle, which looks almost exactly like the cover she did back in September 2004. The shirt is still red, she’s still wearing necklaces, a big belt buckle, and her bra and boobs are still showing. So unoriginal.

Jessica Simpson’s debut country performance took place on Saturday as she opened for Sara Evans at Country Thunder. Mike Rodriguez (31) who was in the audience said:

"Just because she’s dating Tony Romo it doesn’t make her country. She doesn’t fit in with country, and I’ll have to drink a lot of beer to sit through her concert. She’s an embarrassment to country music."

The crowd welcomed Simpson with a mixture of cheers, and booing.

Adam Matos (21) from Arlington Heights, Ill. said:

"I just don’t hear the country in her; I don’t hear the twang. She’s not good enough to be here."

Ryan Sia (28) from East Troy said:

"It’s crap. She doesn’t belong here."

Simpson told the crowd before she left the stage:

"I don’t know what your perception is of Jessica Simpson or what tabloid you buy, but I just want you to know that I’m just a girl from Texas; I’m just like you. I’m doing what I love and dating a boy. I won’t be recording another pop album."

Excuses excuses. Country fans expect talent and sincerity. Simpson didn’t deliver either of those qualities. If she’s sticking to country then she’s going to have to work a lot harder. Her blonde hair, and big breasts, aren’t going to win over country fans. It’s time for her to retire.
