Jessica Biel made her debut performance this weekend in the musical Guys and Dolls. That’s Biel in the video above singing If I Were a Bell, and it was really good. If you missed the show you may be out of luck, because Biel was only slated to do three nights.

Working in musicals and plays can really sharpen an actor’s skills. Biel should do more work on the stage before she does another movie.

Jessica Biel, who had professional singing training, sang the sond Mad About the Boy for the soundtrack of her upcoming film Easy Virtue.

We thought the singing was lackluster. No spark, just correct pitch with no feeling.

Biel has also been cast for the Guys and Dolls musical. We’re not sure how good the show will be with Biel in the cast.

Jessica Biel is one of those celebrities that thinks her poop doesn’t stink, and that she’s too pretty to get good acting parts. Biel told Allure:

"Yeah, it really is a problem. I have to be blunt."
"I’m in there with everybody else, fighting for the good parts. Yes, The Illusionist has made a difference, but a huge, massive difference, so I can pick and choose what I want? No."
"I just want an opportunity. If you don’t like the audition, don’t hire me! But if you don’t want to even see me, that’s hurtful. And why? You know nothing about me!"

It’s not Biel’s good looks that are keeping her from better parts, it’s her big ego, and lack of personality.

Jessica Biel took all her clothes off in Powder Blue when she played a stripper, and worked the pole really well. Biel is a former gymnast. Unlike girls that took it off for stripper movies previously, Biel did some great acting, while also looking hot.

Scenes of Jessica Biel stripping for her new movie Powder Blue have been released, along with a short clip of her interview with Access Hollywood. Biel said of strippers:

"I’ve gained such a greater respect for the women that actually do this for a living. It’s so difficult."

Physically I agree that the type of stripping Biel did for the film is more difficult than average stripping, but even average stripping is a workout, which is why stripping poles are becoming a popular workout tool. However, strippers themselves deserve as much respect as drug dealers, who take advantage of other people’s weaknesses to make easy money off of them. Whenever I hear a stripper make the lame excuse they strip to pay for college, or have a child to raise, I look at the 99% of other women who choose not to strip, and realize strippers are making excuses because they know what they are doing is wrong, but don’t want to work as hard as 99% of other women.

Strippers don’t deserve respect for their bad choices, 99% of average harder working women deserve that respect. I’m not a fan of movies like Powder Blue that glamorize bad life choices. I’d rather see a movie that praises good choices of women that set a good example for other women.

Biel’s praise of strippers is an effort to excuse her own bad choice for a movie role just to make an easy pay check.

Jessica Biel appeared with boyfriend Justin Timberlake on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. Biel played a hot Jessica Rabbit, while Andy Samberg who was in the skit played Cathy from the comic strip Cathy, and Timberlake played her adoring husband Irving. In the skit Irving says:

"I swear on Charles Schulz himself, if Jessica Rabbit walked in here right now I wouldn’t even blink."

Biel then walks in dressed as Jessica Rabbit wearing a tight red dress, and long purple gloves, asks Irving to take a walk, and he immediately accepts. "Sounds good, later fatty," he says to Cathy.

SNL spoofed the comic strip characters after a recent survey from Cadbury Daily Milk ranked the sexiest cartoon characters, leaving Cathy off the list.

Sometimes being a loser get you 15 minutes of fame. It seems to happen more often than not. America loves losers.

Jessica Biel Plays a Stripper

Jessica Biel is playing a stripper in a movie called Powder Blue. The movie also has some heavy weight actors like Ray Liotta, Patrick Swayze, Kris Kristofferson, and Forest Whitaker. Although Biel doesn’t take all her clothes off in the film, the story line is interesting, although a bit dark.

The movie is about Four Los Angelenos who meet on Christmas Eve through chance, tragedy and divine intervention. Swayze will play the sleazy owner of the strip club where Biel’s character dances. Redmayne will portray a mortician who falls in love with her. Kristofferson will play the head of a corporate crime organization who tries to convince his former employee (Liotta) not to seek vengeance on his former co-workers. Whitaker, who also serves as a producer on the film, will play a suicidal ex-priest. Newcomer Alejandro Romero will play a transsexual prostitute who shares an unexpected bond with the priest.
