Paula Abdul is still taking some heat from the press over her continued bizzarre behavior, sparking some to again question if she was "under the influence" of something.

We spoke to Paula’s publicist Jeff Ballard this morning, but plan to talk to him again later today. We’ll let you know what he has to say to explain Paula’s behavior.

TMZ reported that Paula Abdul had a martini yesterday before American Idol, but her publicist says "she never had a martini." Paula’s publicist sent us this email to set the record straight:

WRONG WRONG WRONG you idiots!!! She was not drunk. She never had a martini. TMZ had the smarts to take the false info down. You should as well. You don’t have a single fact to support your BS item. Take the high road for once and do the right thing. Lawsuits are costly.
