Britney Spears parents have made it clear at a court hearing today that they believe Sam Lutfi’s influence has placed their daughter and her assets at risk. Jamie and Lynne Spears are asking the Los Angeles court for a temporary conservatorship, so they can make medical decisions for their daughter, and decisions regarding her finances.

Sam Lutfi says he is "appalled and disgusted" that the parents have gone to court, adding that "Britney is in control of her assets and her business manager (Lutfi) is in control of her assets." Lutfi says his lawyers are discussing his legal options.

Britney is currently at the UCLA psychiatric unit, her current status is "gravely disabled," which means she is not capable of caring for herself, and she is not competent to make decisions regarding her financial affairs. Lutfi’s statements contradict the psychiatrist conclusion.

A Los Angeles court commissioner agreed with Britney Spears parents, and has placed Britney Spears and her estate under temporary conservatorship. Britney’s financial assets, and other holdings, will be managed by a conservator. The conservators are Britney’s father Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet.

The judge did not appoint a conservator to make medical decisions on behalf of Brit because the necessary paperwork was not filed. The conservatorship that was filed will only be in effect until Monday.

The conservators who were appointed to manage Britney’s assets have broad authority, including changing the locks to her house and keeping out anyone they want, like Sam Lutfi.

The judge granted the conservators, Jamie Spears and a lawyer co-conservators, have the power to hire 24-hour security at her house, access her medical records and communicate with treating physicians.

They also have the power to make any decisions on her behalf, and can revoke any contracts she may have made recently, which might include the new Mercedes she just bought. You might remember the Mercedes Britney nearly drove off a cliff the other day.

The commissioner also heard a motion for a restraining order today from Spears’ parents, and found, in effect, that Lutfi has been harassing Britney, so he issued an order for a civil harassment restraining order. This will effectively bar Lutfi from going to the hospital.

The restraining order is in effect for 22 days. This is one of many restraining orders issued against Lutfi. This restraining order now ends the battle for control of Britney that has been raging between Lutfi, and Britney’s parents. Lutfi had no right to get between Britney and her parents in the first place.

Britney Spears and Sam Lutfi got into a huge, "really ugly" fight. Britney and Sam drove up to the gate of her house when she suddenly jumped out of the car crying. Britney’s paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib said he got a frantic call from a hysterical Brit at that moment, pleading with him, "Baby, can you come pick me up??" Adnan told us he told her to go into her house and he would be right over. When he arrived, however, he was told in no uncertain terms that he was not allowed to enter the gate, the guards were under strict orders from Sam not to let him in. He’s tried calling each of her six cell phones and the house phone, but she’s not answering. Sam sent the text messages you see above to Adnan.

The LAPD were called to the scene for what they initially said was a person trying to get access to the grounds without permission. However, the LAPD were actually called to contain the paparazzi crush that was trying to film the fight, not for one specific person.

Adnan Ghalib’s photo agency employer FinalPixx said:

"The truth is that Sam Lutfi started an argument with Britney and the two ended up in a screaming fight. Sam continued to verbally abuse Britney as she sat barefoot on the curb at her Summit home crying holding her dog London.

"Britney called Adnan for help and he heard the distress in her voice and drove to the Summit immediately. While outside the gates he was denied access as Sam Lutfi had informed the guards that he was not allowed entry. When Adnan then tried to call Britney it seems that Sam had turned all of her cell phones off."

Despite Lutfi’s efforts Britney still met up with Ghalib later last night. Last night, Britney’s mom, Lynne, her dad, Jamie, cousin Alli, as well as Sam Lutfi, and Adnan Ghalib all showed up at Britney’s house and were all there at the same time. Also Last night, Britney, Lynne, and Lutfi left the house at some point to go to Long’s Drugstore. Maybe Britney needed to get her prescription filled.

Word is that Britney’s family is trying to stage an intervention to get Britney real psychiatric help, but that can only be accomplished if Britney is willing to go along with the plans.

Adnan turned away at the gate, and cops arrive to disperse paparazzi.

Dr. Phil has canceled the Britney Spears intervention show scheduled for tomorrow. Dr. Phil released the following statement:

"As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show today, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case. Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help. Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers, and we ask that they be in yours."

Dr. Phil’s decision to cancel the show may have been in large part to the fact the Spears family refused to appear on the show at the request of Britney’s father Jamie.

Britney Spears is currently on the road to pay a visit to her manager Sam Lutfi. Friends say Sam is the only person Britney will listen to. Sounds crazy.

While Britney faces another crisis in her life, Britney’s mother Lynne Spears is more than 3,000 miles away in Kentwood, Louisiana, doing nothing for Britney. Lynne’s parenting has only produced extremely troubled children, so it’s better that Lynne just stays away from Britney while she gets her life together. Right now Lynne needs to stay close to her next meal ticket, Jamie Lynn Spears. Although Britney’s father Jamie Spears has been at Britney’s side during this crisis, she’s is already not listening to anyone again. If Sam saves Britney he could turn his very negative public image around.

Update: Now Sam is looking for Britney after she didn’t show up. Sam is rumored to be worried that Britney may be going to see her bang buddy and paparazzi Adnan Ghalib. It’s rumored that Britney may also be at Dr. Phil’s house, but when asked his wife wouldn’t say if Britney was there. I hope she is.

Last evening two ambulances left Britney Spears house, both headed for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one transporting Britney, the other had two-year-old Jayden James in it.

A car carrying Jayden’s older brother Sean arrived at K-Fed’s home a short time later. No word on what Jayden was being treated for.

I hope Britney didn’t hurt Jayden. Maybe he just couldn’t stop crying after Britney went crazy and created drama with police and helicopters circling the house. This is what happens when we leave Britney alone instead of getting her the help she needs so desperately.

Sean Preston was loaded into a car to go home with daddy Kevin Federline.

Kevin Federline, who is concerned about the mother of his children, arrived at the hospital to check on Britney’s condition.

Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears who didn’t spend Christmas with the family because he was upset, arrived at the hospital too. He looks like he’s a lot of help. Sam Lutfi, who needs to get a real job, also showed up.
