Jade Goody, a mother of two sons, and a former dental assistant turned reality-TV star, has died of cervical cancer at the young age of 27.

Bald and frail, Goody married fiancee Jack Tweed last month in an elaborate event staged at an elegant countryside hotel outside London. Good, who reportedly sold the photos for more than $1 million, defended being paid for interviews and photo shoots.

"People will say I’m doing this for money," she said. "And they’re right, I am. But not to buy flash cars or big houses — it’s for my sons’ future if I’m not here. I don’t want my kids to have the same miserable, drug-blighted, poverty-stricken childhood I did."

Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Sunday that Goody used her fame to help her two young sons and many women she did not know.

"She was a courageous woman both in life and death and the whole country have admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children. he will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and her family can be extremely proud of the work she has done to raise awareness of cervical cancer."

If my information is correct, in the U.K. pap smears to check for cervical cancer is only done one every three years. In the United States a pap smear is recommended once per year at least. Get a pap smear once a year. In addition, consider getting the GARDASIL vaccine, which is recommended for girls ages 9 to 26 to help prevent certain other diseases that can lead to cervical cancer.

Rest in peace Jade. Your courage and strength will be remembered.

Jade Goody is still alive, and yet the UK edition of OK! magazine is already running a tribute issue of her life from 1981 to 2009. We think this could have waited until Jade actually passed away.

Jade Goody is at home with her family in critical condition. Her publicist Max Clifford says:

"She was hoping to be well enough to see the boys but at the moment she is in a very bad state, she is very unwell. She saw the boys for a few hours on Wednesday."

Since pain killers have not been enough, nurses at Jade’s side have been administering sedatives. Clifford says:

"The more sedated she is, the weaker she gets. It’s a very critical time. She is unconscious a lot of the time, almost in a coma-like state, although she is not in an actual coma. She’s heavily sedated, so she comes round for maybe a few minutes, sometimes just a few seconds and she goes again. She seems to be aware that Jack and her mother Jackiey are here."

Clifford adds Jade had a special visitor around lunchtime today:

"A priest came to the house today to sit with her and they all said a few prayers together. It’s just a matter of when."

It’s terrible that Jade’s boy will lose their mother at such a young age. Just terrible.

On Wednesday Jade Goody was released from the hospital so she can die from cancer at home surrounded by family. Jade’s publicist, Max Clifford, said:

"She’s just left, I mean literally half an hour ago. She’s on her way home and she’s in an ambulance with a nurse from the Marsden and Jack went in to see her and basically they’re on their way back to their home in Essex which is obviously something that she was desperately keen to do. The whole point is that she wants to spend as much time as she can with Jack and the boys. Jack’s with her, her mum’s coming over, they’ll be close friends around her because she’s got a lot of very good and very close friends."

It was difficult for Jade to spend time with her husband Jack Tweed, but all that’s changed. Jack’s curfew has been modified so he can spend Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights with Jade at her home. Jack is monitored with an ankle bracelet.

The woman who allegedly attacked Jade Goody with a hammer, was actually wielding a judge’s gavel not a hammer, and she wasn’t attacking her, she was rubbing her arm and murmuring prayers. She’s still a whacko, just not a whacko with a hammer. Jade’s publicist, Max Clifford, said Jade will not be pressing criminal charges against the woman:

"There will not be any charges. Jade is more aware now about what happened and when I spoke to her this morning and she said ”I’m sure the women didn’t mean me any harm."

With the worldwide attention Jade has received as a result of her terminal cancer, whackos from everywhere are coming out of the woodwork, even Jacko himself called Jade. In response the hospital has increased security.

As Jade’s health worsen’s she is now reportedly going blind, and wants to be released from the hospital so she can die at home with her sons, and family. Her publicist said:

"It means so much to her to be close to the boys. She’s hoping she’ll be able to go home in the next few days if the nurses can look after her there."
