Ebert and Roeper said The Dark Knight may be "the best superhero movie ever made." In fact, the pair said, don’t just see it once, "see it twice." As for Heath Ledger, they said he deserves an award, and it wouldn’t be a sympathy vote, but for creating an incredible villain, and a better Joker than Jack Nicholson did. WOW!!!

Jack Nicholson (70) was in St. Barths on Wednesday having a great time with the ladies. Personality once again triumphs over age, and extra padding.

heath-disheveled Heath Ledger May Have Had Narcotics in Apartment

While it’s already been confirmed that there were three prescription pill bottles found in Heath Ledger’s apartment, CBS 2 is reporting that narcotics were also discovered in his SoHo loft. “Sources close to the investigation tell CBS 2’s investigative reporter Scott Weinberger that police also recovered a $20 bill with narcotic residue on it,” as well as “several drug packets containing an unknown substance.”

CBS says that all of these items were listed on the official police report from the scene, but it should be stressed that it’s unknown whether or not these items belonged to Heath or if he had ingested them.

All items are being tested, but it will be a while before Heath’s toxicology reports are back from his inconclusive autopsy.

Someone informed Jack Nicholson that Heath had died from a drug overdose, which does not appear to be true, and Jack said, "I warned him."

From the many appearances Heath made recently, including the one above, he did not appear to be taking good care of his health. Reports say Heath wasn’t sleeping much, and couldn’t seem to relax. Rather than address this health crisis in the making, Heath pushed ahead with his workaholic schedule. At 28 years-old he might have been okay, except for the possibility that he may have used several medications together which are sedatives. When used together the effects are not only tripled, but they cause a paradoxical effect which can cause the heart to stop or beat ineffectively causing a lack of blood pressure or blood circulation, aka circulatory collapse. It appears exhaustion, pneumonia, and a misuse of prescription drugs may have led to Heath’s death, and not illegal narcotics.

In the wake of Heath Ledger’s death, President Bush postponed a White House event scheduled for this afternoon in the Roosevelt Room, where he was due to launch an ad campaign aimed at preventing prescription drug abuse.

The president was to make a statement on the Office of National Drug Control Policy’s new TV ad regarding the fact that the use of prescription painkillers remains popular among young people, but White House press secretary Dana Perino said the event, which had been scheduled for a while, was suddenly a bit too timely.

"We thought it would be better to postpone the event," Perino said, "rather than run the risk of anyone thinking that we were being opportunistic in highlighting the issue."

Even the Whitehouse has respect for Heath, as we all do.

Click below to see Heath’s real last picture in a body bag on a stretcher. I don’t want to remember him this way, but I put the picture up for those who need to see this for closure.

Jack Nicholson had to step outside to smoke in Berlin, Germany, and he was met by a crowd of fans waiting for autographs. There was even some pushing and shoving. Despite the interruption Jack signed an autograph for everyone without a single complaint from him. Afterwards, he enjoyed his cigarette in peace. It’s too bad all celebrities don’t learn from Jack’s example.

Jack Nicholson is Sexually Repressed

jack-nicholson Jack Nicholson is Sexually Repressed

Jack Nicholson said back in his day they didn’t use condoms, and fascists are using AIDS and other STDs to repress sensuality, so he’s had to give up one-night stands for fear of getting AIDS. Jack said:

"In my lifetime, from World War II on, life got freer and freer until herpes, then AIDS. That was the end, ask any bar owner. Things moved to the right."

"Once this idea that you can die from sex got into people’s heads, it became a weapon in the hands of stiff, erect, martinet father/parent fascists to suppress sensuality. When you start doing that, society gets rigid, and social life as I knew it was over, fast. I loved that era, and it’s gone. Everything is about infections now. Anybody under 30 has never known the freedom I knew. They’re frightened, they have no idea about alternative lifestyles."

"Freedom has never been part of the air they breathe. Naturally, I reacted differently to this fear of freedom, because it is a fear of feeling. I’m not talking about being profligate with sex and drugs. Fear of freedom is a withholding of love, and it’s unyielding."

With all the fear of STDs that can kill us, the sex toy market should be booming. Maybe next year scientists will come up with home test kits that test for everything, including AIDS so people can still have that no condom one-night stand without the worries.
