Mary-Kate Olsen Denies Heath Ledger Drug Connection
Posted on August 4, 2008 at 4:39 pm (PST)
Mary-Kate Olsen, according to reports, asked for immunity from prosecution to tell what she knows about the drugs in the cocktail that killed Heath Ledger. Upon seeing the report today, Mary-Kate’s attorney Michael Miller issued the following statement:
"Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them. Regarding the government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. "
I wasn’t speculating on Mary-Kate’s drug connection, but on something more serious. I’ll ask again. Did Mary-Kate do something illegal that resulted in Heath’s death, or did she not call for help that could have prevented Heath’s death?
Cops say the masseuse who found Ledger’s body last January spent nine minutes making three separate calls to Olsen before calling 911, then called her again after paramedics arrived. After getting the calls, cops say Mary-Kate sent her bodyguard to go check on the situation. Why did the masseuse need to call Mary-Kate in the first place?
Mary-Kate Olsen is Hiding Something

Mary-Kate Olsen has refused to be interviewed by federal investigators probing the accidental drug death of her close friend Heath Ledger unless she receives immunity from prosecution, according to the New York Post.
Mary-Kate’s lawyer has repeatedly refused attempts by the feds to question Olsen, who was the first person called after her masseuse discovered Ledger’s body in his SoHo apartment in January.
What is Mary-Kate hiding that would make her fear prosecution? Did Mary-Kate do something illegal that resulted in Heath’s death, or did she not call for help that could have prevented Heath’s death?

Michelle Williams is dating Spike Jonze

Michelle Williams (27) is now dating Spike Jonze (38), who is the ex-husband of Sofia Coppola.
In recent weeks the new couple have been spotted near Jonze’s New York apartment. Williams began dating Jonze after working with him on his new film Synecdoche in New York. Williams first met Jonze in 2006 when she auditioned for his film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak children’s book Where The Wild Things Are.
Pictured above are: Spike Jonze (left) and Michelle Williams (far right), with co-star Catherine Keener (center), at the premiere of Synecdoche, New York at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2008.
I don’t have a good feeling about Jonze. He is divorced, and Williams has a daughter. Hopefully he likes kids. I doubt this relationship will last. It’s going to be hard for Williams to find the right guy to fill Heath Ledger’s shoes.
Dark Knight Sets Box Office Record
Posted on July 20, 2008 at 11:23 am (PST)
The Dark Knight Batman movie broke a new box office record making $155.34 million in its first weekend. The previous record was set by Spider-Man 3 in May of 2007 when it made $151.1 million.
Factoring in higher admission prices, however, "Spider-Man 3" may have sold slightly more tickets than "The Dark Knight."
At 2007’s average price of $6.88, "Spider-Man 3" sold 21.96 million tickets over opening weekend. Box office tracker Media By Numbers estimates today’s average movie prices at $7.08, which means "The Dark Knight" would have sold 21.94 million tickets.
"The Dark Knight," which cost $185 million to make, also broke the "Spider-Man 3" record for best debut in IMAX large-screen theaters with $6.2 million. "Spider-Man 3" opened with $4.7 million in IMAX cinemas.
