Heath Ledger Insurance Company Will Not Pay Out
Posted on September 30, 2008 at 8:32 am (PST)
Matilda Rose will inherit the $20 million estate of Heath Ledger, after his family decided to give it to her because it was the right thing to do. Heath’s life insurance company, ReliaStar Life Insurance Company, however, said they believe Heath’s death may have been suicide, so they won’t pay out the death benefit of $10 million. The company said they will perform their own investigation, which will include talking to Mary-Kate Olsen. Police already rule Heath’s death accidental, but they aren’t always right.
ReliaStar’s attorneys are going to take the depositions of MKO, as well as the masseuse who discovered him dead. They’ll also be interviewing his doctors, agents, co-stars on films, psychologists, and many others.
Matilda’s lawyers say ReliaStar is violating California law which does not allow insurance companies to reexamine applications after the death of the policyholder. In other words, the insurance company would have had to do their due diligence when Heath applied for the insurance, and not now that he has paid his premiums and died.
Matilda’s lawyers say ReliaStar are acting "maliciously, fraudulently and/or oppressively."
The life insurance policy was written June of 2007, only six months before Heath died.

Michael Caine Confirms Depp and Hoffman in Next Batman

Michael Caine says Johnny Depp will be The Riddler, and Philip Seymour Hoffman will be The Penguin, in the next Batman blockbuster movie:
"I was with a Warner Bros. executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S–t, they’ve done it again!’”
If only Heath Ledger were still alive to make this a threesome.
Heath Ledger Drug Investigation Closed

Despite getting a subpoena from the DEA today, Mary-Kate Olsen will not have to testify before a Grand Jury. Just as suddenly as the DEA subpoenaed Mary-Kate, they have officially closed their investigation to determine how Health Ledger obtained the drugs that killed him.
Something smells fishy here. We are hearing that the U.S. Attorney’s Office shut down the investigation because it was full of hot air, and that some DEA agents used the investigation as an excuse to get close to celebrities, and movie sets.
Mary-Kate Olsen Subpoenaed By DEA In Heath Ledger Investigation
Posted on August 6, 2008 at 12:23 pm (PST)
Mary-Kate Olsen has been issued a subpoena by the Drug Enforcement Administration office in New York, requiring her to testify in front of a grand jury. Mary-Kate had issued a statement through her attorney saying she had told Feds everything she knows already, but also said she wanted immunity from prosecution to tell Feds more.
The DEA is investigating five different medications that were found in Heath Ledger’s body at the time of his death, three of which he’d gotten from doctors in Texas and Los Angeles. Officials are trying to determine how he got the OxyContin and Vicodin found in his apartment without a legal prescription.
Mary-Kate could invoke the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination, but that would only make her look like she had even more to hide. Mary-Kate has now become the center of this investigation.
