Vanity Fair Refuses to Retract Gina Gershon and Bill Clinton Story

Lavely & Singer, lawyers for Gina Gershon pictured above on the far left, have demanded Vanity Fair retract their story they says insinuated Bill Clinton and Gina had an affair. Vanity Fair spokesperson Beth Kseniak responded by saying:
"Todd Purdum’s article does not indicate that former President Bill Clinton had an improper relationship with Gina Gershon. The story merely examines the concerns of some of Clinton’s aides about reports of his behavior. We don’t believe that any correction is warranted."
It’s doubtful Gershon is upset enough to take this to court. Instead she should just write a book about her innocent relationship with Bill Clinton, and make some money.
Gina Gershon Demands Retraction from Vanity Fair

Gina Gershon hired law firm Lavely & Singer to send a demand letter to Vanity Fair asking for a retraction. The letter says in part:
"… The article outrageously insinuates that Ms. Gershon has had an inappropriate sexual relationship with President Clinton. This is absolutely false."
The letter demands "a retraction and correction."
"Gershon has only been in the same room as President Bill Clinton on three occasions, all with many others present."
The letter goes on to say:
"Rumor-mongering was substituted for fact-checking."
Todd Purdum defended his reporting, and says he was very careful not to make any direct allegations. Too bad he didn’t name his sources.
Bill Clinton Having More Affairs
Posted on June 2, 2008 at 1:23 pm (PST)Bill Clinton is upset with a Vanity Fair article. The magazine specifically named Gina Gershon, and many other women, who Bill is allegedly having affairs with. Vanity Fair goes so far as to say Bill’s behavior was getting so bad on the road, there was almost an intervention. Just like old times.
We all knew if Hillary Clinton was elected her administration would spend a lot of Presidential time dealing with Bill’s issues. Barack Obama would be sure to avoid picking Hillary as a Vice President for this very reason, unless he felt he couldn’t win without her. Time will tell.
