Charlene Choi from Twins said she was very angry while attending a public event with Leo Ku yesterday following an incident last week in Shenzhen.

Last Friday, Gillian Chung who had been out of work recently accompanied her Charlene in Shenzhen to attend an advertising firm event. During the event a much older man who was very drunk came towards Gillian and Charlene. The drunk man put one arm over Charlene’s shoulder while holding a wine glass in the other, then he shouted, “Ah Gill (Gillian) must be strong!” He then moved over to Gillian, held her lower chin with his hand, and started kissing her on the face, which made Gillian feel extremely awkward. The man then went back over to Charlene and started kissing her as well. Charlene and Gillian politely smiled awkwardly throughout the whole embarrassing ordeal.

Charlene said:

“That man was very drunk and I really wanted to hit him with my microphone because of his inappropriate actions. The MCs couldn’t react in time. That man even wanted us to drink from his glass after he had led us to toast everyone present. Of course we didn’t drink since that glass had his saliva on it. A hug is alright but his actions were very gross and made us very angry. We have already lodged a complaint with our company.”

I really feel sorry for Charlene. When the whole scandal erupted she really needed to start a solo career, and leave Gillian to clean up her whole self made mess. Gillian is the one attracting all the negative attention, and is dragging Charlene down with her. At this point however, Charlene is also doing this to herself, by hanging on to a sinking ship.

jonas-brothers-1 Jonas Brothers Naughty Pic Scandal

The other day the Jonas Brothers were once again showing off their purity rings, and bragging about how they will remain virgins until they are married. This sounds exactly like Gillian Chung, who was caught in the middle of the Edison Chen naughty pic scandal. Now we hear a rumor that one of the Jonas Brothers took naughty pics with a teenage female celebrity, and those pictures are about to hit the Internet. The biggest mistake a celebrity can make is to claim they’re a good boy, or girl, then have naughty pictures released to the public proving it was all a lie, just to make a buck by misrepresenting the truth, as Edison Chen and Gillian Chung found out the hard way. Check back for the latest on this story as it develops.

Will you still buy Jonas albums if they lied?

Gillian Chung Marriage Called Off Over New Photo Scandal

gillian-and-juno-mark Gillian Chung Marriage Called Off Over New Photo Scandal

Gillian Chung received a marriage proposal from Juno Mak this week, however, before Gillian could give him an answer Juno abrutly took back his proposal. News reports are saying that Gillian said "no" to Juno’s marriage proposal, but that is just to make Gillian look like she’s in control. Rumors have been getting louder that another celebrity may have another batch of naughty pictures of Gillian which were stolen, and may be released. Although Juno seems to have forgiven Gillian for her involvement with Edison Chen, this new naughty picture scandal seems to have been too much for Juno, so much so that he took back his marriage proposal. If another batch of pictures of Gillian is released her career will be over for sure. A source close to Gillian says she is putting on a strong face and appearance, but that is only to mask her fear of losing her celebrity status. The source adds that Gillian is hoping everyone will forget about the scandal as if it never happened.

To distract attention from herself she is blaming Edison Chen. A source closed to Gillian said:

“Gillian really loved Edison then and would do anything that he asked her. She thought she could hold on to him in this way. You can imagine how hurt she felt when she saw the photos and realized she was being cheated on. It’s said that Edison loves to brag to his friends about the women he has conquered.”

Gillian really knows how to play the innocent little girl who was the victim of big bad Edison. Gillian should really be given an award for her great acting.

Gillian Chung Faces New Naughty Picture Scandal

A source in Hong Kong now alleges another man who dated Gillian Chung, someone other than Edison Chen, may have also taken naughty pictures of her in private. The source said the man who has possession of new naughty Gillian pictures is a celebrity, which immediately raises suspicion it could be Alex Fong. The source also mentioned that some of those pictures may have been stolen, and could be released at a later date. News of the new naughty pictures has not yet hit news papers in Hong Kong. Stay tuned as this story develops …

Recently Alex was asked about Gillian’s apology news conference. He said that he happened to be at home resting, so he did see the interview on television, and he said that she has taken a step forward, but he has nothing more to say.

TVB held a fundraising variety show Help And Love yesterday evening to raise money for the action aid project of the same name to help the victims of the snowstorm crisis in Mainland China.

Among the celebrities taking part in the event were the singing duo Twins (pictured above left is Gillian Chung, and right is Charlene Choi). Gillian Chung, who has earned herself the nickname of "Naive Gillian" after her involvement in the recent naughty photos scandal, and her subsequent explanation for her actions as being "naive and foolish", remains the focus of the media attention. Charlene Choi joined Gillian to perform.

Despite thousands of complaints from the public about the planned appearance of Gillian at the charity show, TVB decided to show their support for her and did not cancel their booking. The producers had also arranged for a group of Twins fans to sit in the live audience and support the duo during their performance. After joining the other stars in the main performance of the theme song "Bringing Warmth In Snow", they also performed "Six Years Of Love" as their fans showed their applause and encouragement from the audience.

After their item, Twins did not stick around nor answer any of the reporters’ questions because they were rushed off to the EEG New Year celebrations.

The show’s producer Wai Sai Fai was asked about the change to Twins’ song from the originally planned "Connected Relationships" and he said that this was made at their request. He also said that although there were more Twins fans in the audience than any other group of fans, but this was made in arrangement with each of the singers’ fan clubs and was fair.

During the ensemble performance, Alan Tam seemed to keep passing the microphone over to Gillian, who was stood beside him on the stage. He explained that this was to show his support for her and he denied that she was wearing a frown all evening, saying she was very brave and strong.

TVB Executive Chairman Sir Run Run Shaw led the donations for the evening by pledging HK$1 million and he was joined by other noted philanthropists including Mr Timothy Fok who donated HK$5 million on behalf of his family business and also Peter Lam, Pansy Ho, Albert Yeung, and Joseph Lau, who all also donated HK$1 million towards the fund.

The artists and singers at the event, including Raymond Lam, Bosco Wong, Kevin Cheng, and the cast of TVB sitcom Best Selling Secrets, all gave up their time to take part in the performance and encouraged the viewers at home to phone in and pledge their donations to the worthy cause.

Edison Chen Billboards Taken Down

Edison Chen, the central figure in the naughty photos scandal that has rocked Hong Kong showbiz, has had another job axed, Sing Tao Daily, a Hong Kong newspaper, reported today.

Edison was signed as one of the faces of EPS, Hong Kong’s local version of Visa or MasterCard, in their latest advertising campaign. However, recently, billboards featuring Edison were removed from prominent positions in Causeway Bay, Mong Kok and Hong Kong Station, reported Sing Tao Daily.

The newspaper also reported that Edison’s part in EPS’s TV commercial had been cut.

The EPS campaign is also fronted by Charlene Choi, Jan Lamb, and Wyman Wong.

Although there were reports that Edison had his advertisements for Manhattan Titanium, a credit card, pulled as a result of the naughty picture scandal, a spokesperson for the company later said that the campaign was only ever scheduled for a month and had been ended as planned and not because of recent events. That’s exactly what Disney said when they cancelled a Gillian Chung recently.

Earlier this month, Edison was cut from an upcoming movie. Columbia Pictures announced that its film Jump, a joint production with Stephen Chow’s company Star Overseas, which was due to be released on May 1, has been delayed until October 1. The Hong Kong-made film was to star Edison alongside Kitty Zhang. The movie studios hope that the delay will allow people to forget the film was ever associated with Edison. The upcoming Batman still has Edison in the film however.

Sing Tao Daily estimated that the scandal could cost Edison, who was seen as one of the coolest entertainers in Hong Kong showbiz, HK$10m a year in work and endorsements.

The newspaper quoted lawyers who said that companies could easily end endorsement contracts, because these always have clauses requiring a star to maintain a certain image. The legal sources added that, as well as not paying up fees, companies could sue a star for damages, but this is unlikely, and disputes are usually settled out of court.

In the Honk Kong, and Chinese, entertainment business image is everything. Click here to read more.
