Michael Jackson as Captain EO Returning to Disney Theme Park
A short 3D movie called Captain EO, which starred Michael Jackson, and played at Disneyland in the 1980s, may return in January 2010. The movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, with the screenplay by George Lucas who was also the Executive Producer, and the music and choreography by Michael Jackson.
A final decision will be made by Disney execs if the movie will be played again on September 10. The decsion is most likely based on a deal with Jackson’s estate to see how much compensation will be payed. Chances are the deal will be approved.
In the meantime, you can see the whole movie right here, except the 3D glasses may not work very well with a computer screen.
Shia LaBeouf Left Pinky Finger Amputation

Star magazine is reporting that Shia LaBeouf may have his left pinky finger amputated. Star quotes a source who says:
"Shia called producers yesterday and told them," the source on the set in Alamogordo, N.M. says. "It’s really thrown the movie into turmoil."
If you look closely at Shia’s finger in the picture of his left pinky, it doesn’t appear to have been injured at all, so Star’s story doesn’t seem believable at all. Good thing we have pictures.
The good news is Shia probably isn’t going to lose his pinky. There is some bad news however.
In May George Lucas told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival that he already had an idea for Indiana Jones V, and that it centered, not on Dr. Henry Jones, but on his son, Mutt Williams, played by Shia LaBeouf. Recently Lucas was asked by MTV News whether he still considered Mutt Williams a strong enough character to drive an Indiana Jones film. Lucas said that Indy just isn’t Indy without Indy, to put it another way, No. Lucas added:
“Indiana Jones is Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones. If it was Mutt Williams it would be ‘Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis’ or something.”
Looks like Shia won’t be taking over for Harrison Ford after all.
UPDATE:
LaBeouf publicist Melissa Kates responded to Star’s amputation claim saying:
"It’s a completely fabricated story."
Amen to that.
Star Wars The Clone Wars Movie Trailer

The Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie trailer is now online. Click here to watch it. The trailer lasts 3 minutes and 49 seconds. The cartoon looks okay, but the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoons have been playing in other countries for some time now, so why do we have to go see it at the theater?
If George Lucas wanted to do something extra ordinary, he would have had Pixar recreate The Clone Wars using their technology. After all, Pixar studios was originally George Lucas studios, and was purchased from Lucas by Steve Jobs of Apple fame.
Amanda Lucas is Making George Lucas Cringe

Amanda Lucas, the 27 year-old daughter of George Lucas, was in Auckland, New Zealand over the weekend getting the bloody snot kicked out of her at an event called Princess of Pain. One fan called Amanda’s match "a total mismatch and she got badly beaten. To give Amanda her dues she kept coming back for more, but the ref in her corner should have stopped the fight after the first round."
The event was filmed for a new reality TV show that will feature a women’s international fight league.
Indiana Jones Getting Uninformed Bad press

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has been getting some bad press lately. Those critics are sure to end up with egg on their face, and that’s sort of what they want. The critics who are saying the latest Indiana Jones movie will be less than spectacular are taking the negative side to attract attention to their sites. The fact is, this is a George Lucas film, who created Star Wars, which made over $4 billion, and the Indiana Jones movies, all of which are action packed, well written tight stories, with great characters, eye popping visual effects, and Harrison Ford. Indian Jones will be a blockbuster. Don’t miss it.
There are going to be a lot of great movies this summer, and Indiana Jones is sure to give you a bigger jolt than a quadruple shot latte. Click here to see the latest movie trailer.
