Gary Dourdan will be leaving CSI next month after his contract expires. The decision was mutual between Dourdan and producers. The May 15 season finale may be his final appearance on CSI. Producers are actively seeking, via a casting call, a new male series regular in his late twenties to early thirties to play Ray Santoro, a "handsome, smart and athletic" CSI who transfers from Henderson to join the graveyard shift at the Las Vegas crime lab.

Gary is too young to retire, and probably would like to try the silver screen. How about the first black Batman, or a villain in the next Spiderman?

As it turns out Gary Dourdan doesn’t just use his violent temper to assault innocent photogs, in 2005 he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to stay away from his then girlfriend Anne Greene and attend domestic violence counseling.

Last night Gary Dourdan repeatedly smashed a photog’s head into the ground for taking pictures of him while he was on a public street. That person could have been you or me just trying to get a shot of our favorite star. The photog has the legal right to take pictures of anyone in a public area. Dourdan broke the law by physically assaulting the photog. When stars break the law, and then act like they did nothing wrong, it’s up to us to knock them off their above-the-law perch, and let them know their crap stinks just like ours does. There’s nothing worse than a perpetrator (Dourdan) blaming the victim (the photog). Here’s more:

Gary Dourdan’s reps released (to another media outlet) their official for Dourdan’s vicious attack on a TMZ cameraman last night.

Despite video evidence of Dourdan beating and then chasing our photographer, the coward’s people blamed TMZ, saying, "Gary has always been respectful of the media and the paparazzi but also values his privacy. It’s our belief that this is a minor incident exaggerated by an eager paparazzo in order to create a story."

After assaulting the photog, Dourdan sped off on his Ducati, but then later came back with his entourage and started chasing the photographer around Hollywood in a Town Car. It was scary for the photog, and he should sue Dourdan so he learns to respect the law that prohibits violence against others.

CSI actor Gary Dourdan just became the latest celebrity jerk to assault a camera man for standing on the sidewalk with his camera on. The photog did nothing to provoke the attack, tried to talk Gary down, but he still assaulted the photog. Click here to see the video:

Clad in leather biker gear, Dourdan violently grabbed our photog outside Hyde, who the actor had mistaken for another guy, and slammed him to the pavement several times, sending his head bouncing into concrete over and over again — all while his camera continued to roll.

The chaos began after Dourdan pulled up to the club on his Ducati motorcycle, and shouted at the photog to "get that f**king camera out of my face!" The photog obliged, pointing the camera to the ground — but Dourdan’s rage continued to grow, and the cameraman kept the record button on just in case something happened. Moments later, something happened.

As Dourdan launched his attack, other paparazzi can be heard screaming at Gary, desperately trying to make him stop. Moments after the assault, Dourdan threatened our photog again, saying, "I know all the cops around here, they’re my friends."

Gary needs to spend some time in jail. While he’s in there I hope he drops the soap, and a guy so big you can’t knock him down with a sledge hammer gets ahold of him, and whispers "oh nancy" in his ear while he has his way with him.
