Farrah Fawcett died at 9:28 am PST this morning at a hospital in Santa Monica at the young age of 62 years-old. Farrah was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, and it spread (metastasized) to her liver. Long time lover, and father of her only child, Ryan O’Neal released this statement:

"She’s gone. She now belongs to the ages. She’s now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She’s in a better place now."

"She was with her team when she passed. Her eyes were open, but she didn’t say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us."

O’Neal was asked about his plan to marry Farrah in recent days, to which he said:

"There just wasn’t time, and Farrah wasn’t in any condition to do it."

During her fight to live Farrah said:

"That’s life. Everything has positive and negative consequences."

We are never ready to hear a legend like Farrah has left our world. You will be missed Farrah, and remembered.

Farrah Fawcett Cancer Story Full Video

  Share

The Farrah Fawcett TV documentary that has filmed her discovering her cancer, going through the horrible experience of chemotherapy, and more attracted 8.9 million viewers. The full video documentary is above. It is difficult to watch.

The documentary was NBC’s most-watched television program in its Friday night time slot in more than a year, excluding the Olympics, according to preliminary ratings released Saturday.

At one point in the documentary Fawcett says:

"I do not want to die of this disease. So I say to God, `It is seriously time for a miracle.’"

The miracle must be something other than a cure, because her son Redmond O’Neal was allowed to leave jail again to visit his mother.

Ryan O’Neal has indicated Farrah is not doing well at all. Farrah is only 62 years-old.

Redmond ONeal Released from Jail to Visit Mom

Redmond O’Neal was allowed to leave jail on Saturday to spend about three hours by the bedside of his mother Farrah Fawcett with a police escort. Redmond has said his mother weighs only 86 lbs, and although that claim has been denied, they don’t let people out of jail for no reason. It seems Farrah, who is battling cancer, must be sicker than reps are saying.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said:

"A judge signed a removal order. The O’Neal family paid for all transportation costs, which totaled about $1,300. Saturday they drove him to visit with his mother."

"It happens sometimes for a funeral or, if someone is gravely ill, someone can be released on a temporary order."

If ever there was a time for Redmond to find something to motivate him to quit drugs this should be it. Do it for mom Redmond.

Farrah Fawcett Cancer Spread to Her Liver

farrah fawcett hospitalized Farrah Fawcett Cancer Spread to Her Liver

Farrah Fawcett originally had anal cancer in 2006, which doctors thought went into remission in 2007 after chemotherapy, but in 2007 scans showed "not only had it recurred, it metastasized to her liver."

Fawcett’s physician said she was hospitalized due to a painful hematoma that formed following a procedure she has in Germany, and then flew immediately home.

Once cancer spreads to the liver it’s usually downhill from there. We can only hope a miracle happens now.

Farrah Fawcett (62) has been in the hospital in Los Angeles since Thursday for possible complications from her cancer.

Fawcett was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006, she got chemotherapy, the cancer went into remission, then it returned in 2007.

We hope Fawcett will be okay. She’s too young to leave us now.
