Elisabeth Hasselbeck is Pregnant Again

  Share

Elisabeth Hasselbeck (29) is three months pregnant, and going to have baby number two with husband Tim (29) who is the quarterback for the New York Giants. They welcomed their first child, Grace Elisabeth, on April 6, 2005, which was Tim’s 27th birthday. The new baby is due in November.

Hasselbeck, a onetime artist and accessories designer, made her TV debut in 2001 as a contestant on Survivor: The Australian Outback (she finished fourth). She went on to host the Style Network’s The Look for Less before replacing Lisa Ling on The View in 2003.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Sick of Rosie O’Donnell’s Rudeness and Bullying

  Share

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not emotionally strong enough to handle someone as callous as Rosie. Barbara Walters doesn’t do much to keep her employees happy. Soon that trash show will end.

AN on-air dig from co-host Rosie O’Donnell during an episode of "The View" this week left co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck in tears after the taping, sources told Page Six. "Elisabeth just can’t take it any more," the insider said of her tensions with O’Donnell, who constantly slams her conservative stance. Things got especially ugly on Wednesday. Hasselbeck said she supported the government’s access to citizens’ phone conversations. Liberal O’Donnell responded, "Elisabeth, you are very young and you are very wrong." Hasselbeck accused Rosie of ageism and broke down later off-camera. By yesterday afternoon, Rosie had blogged: "i said some of elisabeth’s comments were ignorant which was ignorant itself." This wasn’t the first time the women have clashed on camera, but sources told us the insult was the last straw for Hasselbeck. "Her days there are numbered. She is looking to leave," said the spy, who hinted that Hasselbeck was shopping for a permanent spot at E! O’Donnell’s rep, Cindi Berger, said, "They get along great. They have differences of opinion, but that’s what makes ’The View’ so great and newsworthy." Reps for "The View" did not return numerous calls.

Barbara Walters Is Desperate for The View to Survive

  Share

Barbara Walters, who supported Rosie during her racist "ching chong" tirade, accusation of Kelly Ripa being homophobic, and unprovoked attack on Donald Trump for giving Miss USA a second chance, had to mend wounded egos at "The View" holiday party the other night after she gushed ad nauseam over Rosie O’Donnell, but somehow forgot to praise the rest of her yakking yentas. As staffers and guests boozed and nibbled at Providence on West 57th Street, Barbara took the mike and apologized for O’Donnell’s absence, saying she had to attend a funeral. Who died? It was probably Rosie’s Christmas spirit. "She went on to say what a wonderful addition Rosie had been and how much Rosie wanted the show to succeed. It went on for almost too long, then she exited the stage," our spy said. "I saw Joy Behar walk over to [producer] Bill Getty and have a very animated discussion. A few minutes later Barbara interrupted the crowd again. She hadn’t even mentioned Joy or Elisabeth Hasselbeck the first time around. She apologized and gave some lame speech about how the show would not survive without them. Her excuse for not mentioning them was that she hadn’t prepared notes . . . I don’t think it went over very well with Elizabeth or Joy." Earlier, Getty had revelers whooping when he quipped, "It has been a very interesting and exciting year. Meredith [Vieira] decided she wanted to leave, and we decided we wanted Star [Jones] to leave."

Now it makes sense why Joy Behar has been making reverse racism remarks lately. Joy can’t get Barbara’s approval unless she exhibits the same inappropriate behavior as Rosie. Without shocking controversy no one cares about The View. The FCC should really enforce their decency rules with regards to daytime television, and penalize The View for Rosie’s racist tirade against Asians, which amounts to hate speech. Wait, I forgot, no one cares unless the hate is directed towards someone who is gay, black, or a woman.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gets No Apology from Law and Order

  Share

Not everyone has it out for "The View’s" Elisabeth Hasselbeck, ok, maybe almost everyone, including the producers of "Law & Order: SVU," who recently had a character named "Elizabeth Hassenback" raped twice and murdered. And yesterday on "The View," the real Elisabeth got mad about it. Who wouldn’t be upset?

On the show, as the New York Post reports, Hasselbeck recounted her conversation with executive producer Neal Baer of "L&O: SVU" and how she called him out for the unnecessarily proximate reference to her in the episode and his rather noticeable fake tan, and then she threatened to boycott all "L&O" cast members from the show. When Baer barely offered apology, Hasselbeck said she replied: "You don’t sound sorry, it’s not about feelings. . . and I want you to know I think it’s socially irresponsible and I want to have you hear it from me before I vent on ’The View.’ " Baer hung up on her shortly thereafter saying "I don’t have to deal with you lady!"

Watch the video and you’ll see there really was no apology at all. No matter how you slice and dice this one, it’s simply not right. L&o, as much as I like the show, crossed the line and they need to take responsibility by apologizing. If Isaiah Washington can be bashed by gays for saying the word faggot, surely L&O should be held accountable for making an episode about a real woman celebrity getting raped and murdered. What if someone saw the show and decided to reenact it on the real Hasselbeck? It was totally irresponsible to make that show using Hasselbeck’s name almost exactly. Do women have rights, or is it only gays that have special rights these days? Let these jerks hear from women that care.
