In the picture on the right, Cartier CEO Frederic de Narp (is the 3rd from left) along with Sarah Jessica Parker, and Spike Lee, announce the first official “Declare Your LOVE Day” and Cartier’s nation-wide charity initiative. The fourth man in the one photo is Bruce Aust, from NASDAQ.

Stars from the worlds of fashion, art, music and movies were at the Cartier Mansion on New York’s Fifth Avenue to launch a new charity initiative being mounted by the prestigious jewelry firm.

June 8 was officially “Declare Your LOVE Day” in New York in honor of the new charity campaign featuring Cartier’s new LOVE collection and new LOVE charity bracelet. Every sale of the bracelet will benefit a good cause.

Eight A-List Hollywood celebs are working with Cartier on this initiative. Rosario Dawson, Salma Hayek, Scarlett Johansson, Spike Lee, Edward Norton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael Stipe, and Liv Tyler have each selected a charity close to their hearts and bracelet color to represent their cause. $100 of each bracelet goes to the charity, and on June 8th, LOVE Day, 10% of the entire LOVE Collection went to the charities.

Bracelet List:

Rosario Dawson – Youth AIDS – Red Bracelet
Salma Hayek – The Salma Hayek Foundation – White Bracelet
Scarlett Johansson – USA Harvest – Baby Pink Bracelet
Spike Lee – Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, Graduate Division at the Tisch School of the Arts – NYU – Purple Bracelet
Edward Norton – Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust – Green Bracelet
Sarah Jessica Parker – UNICEF Blue Bracelet
Michael Stipe – Mercy Corps / Gulf Coast Recovery – Black Bracelet
Liv Tyler – The Breast Cancer Research Foundation – Deep Pink Bracelet

Sarah Jessica Parker, Lindsay Lohan, Scarlett Johansson, Janet Jackson, Spike Lee, Salma Hayek, and Ashley Judd, along with a very amorous Liv Tyler and Edward Norton, all took the time to pose for the cameras.

Paris Hilton Blames Nicole Richie For Fall-Out

Paris Hilton says Nicole Richie is to blame for the end of their life-long friendship because fame’s made her a “different person”.

The hotel heiress and Richie had a spectacular falling out after starring in three series of their hit TV show The Simple Life together, meaning the pair had to be filmed separately for the entirety of the fourth season.

Hilton now claims her former childhood pal caused the end of the friendship by radically changing after becoming a household name.

She claims, “It makes me sad because Nicole was like my sister. I brought her on the show and all of a sudden she became this different person. She dropped all her old friends and now she’s someone else. That’s not the girl I know.”

What Paris says makes sense considering the fact Nicole already admitted she has problems in her Vanity Fair, including a problem with her weight (anorexic).

Edward Norton Breaks his Back

Movie star Edward Norton was left in agony on the set of his new movie The Painted Veil after he was thrown from a horse onto a pile of rocks.

The Fight Club actor was shooting the film with Naomi Watts in China when his steed got the better of him, and he was left with a broken back. Norton admits he had no idea just how badly he’d injured his back at first, “I did not feel good and I remember I thought at the time. This could be really bad, this could be one of those stories. I’m gonna end up one of those people. I didn’t actually know it was broken. I finished the film out and then went to Hong Kong. I was in a lot of pain.”

The actor admits the injury actually helped him perfect his character in the film. He explains, “I was playing this kind of uptight British doctor and the injury actually kind of worked.” Norton jokes, “That’s how far I’m willing to go. I mean Robert De Niro just gained weight to play Jake La Motta in Raging Bull.”
