The New York Daily News said yesterday that Lindsay Lohan is spending her time in rehab daydreaming about reviving her music … umm … "career" (?). Rush and Malloy say:

Insiders say Lohan has let Universal Music execs know she’s ready to deliver the third album she owes. But do they want it?

Guided by Casablanca label head Tommy Mottola, Lohan recorded the 2004 CD "Speak," which sold a respectable 1.6 million copies here and abroad. Her 2005 followup, "A Little More Personal," did more than 600,000 units.

Mottola had been after Lohan to get back into the studio, but she didn’t have time with all the movies she was making. Then came her two DUI arrests and a charge of cocaine possession. Amid reports that insurance companies were afraid to bond her pictures, her schedule freed up.

But lately, relations between Mottola and Lohan are said to have cooled. (He didn’t return our calls.) And others at Universal Music are approaching her cautiously.

"As much as she wants to make another album," says one insider, "the feeling is she needs to get herself cleaned up. Then we can talk about it."

For an industry that prides itself on sex, drugs, and violence, they do have a bottom line which involves making money. Lohan’s first record was due to her previous success as a child actress, the second dropped to about 1/3 of the first album’s sales. Lohan’s third album would probably sell as many as Paris Hilton. Lohan’s movies don’t make money either. Lohan should just give up on Hollywood and join the circus where she fits in.

Yesterday Michael and Dina Lohan came to an agreement in their divorce:

Though the terms of the agreement were not disclosed, state Supreme Court Justice Robert A. Ross reportedly told the Lohans, ‘You have both demonstrated to me extraordinarily good judgment in resolving this matter as you did.’ Despite today’s events, the Lohans will be in family court on Sept. 6 to determine a custody and visitation agreement for their underage children, 13-year-old Aliana and 11-year-old Dakota.

I feel for the judge. Imagine trying to decide between Dina who has been pictured drinking and doing drugs with Lindsay, and Michael who has been in jail for the past 2 years on a DUI charge. He might as well give the kids to a pack of wolves. I guess it could be worse. The kids could have been raised by Jihad loving parents, who strap bomb belts on the kids and tell them to go out and make them proud.

When Lindsay was at Promises she went roller blading and bicycling on the beach, then relapsed only 11 days later. Now she’s at the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah where she stays busy by hiking, bicycling, and whitewater-rafting. On August 16 she went for a 90-minute bike ride around Orem, and the next day she went rafting on the Provo River dressed in a pirate bandanna. She was also seen shopping at an Abercrombie and Fitch store and at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory where she picked up $70 worth of chocolates.

If you didn’t know Lindsay was a drunk and a drug addict in need of rehab, you might get the justified impression that Promises and Cirque Lodge were either summer camps or spas. They probably smoke pot around the camp fire, and eat pot brownies all day, to keep their clients more relaxed during their stay. At a real rehab they’d lock you in your room after searching it, wake you up with a fire hose, lock you in a box for 2 days in the hot sun outside if you misbehave, make you exercise, and learn how to take care of yourself during difficult circumstances, like trying to make it out of a swamp filled with poisonous snakes and no water or food for a week. That hat Lindsay is wearing should say "fake."

A woman named Tracie Rice filed suit today against Lindsay Lohan, claiming she was in the car Lindsay chased on July 24th, the night of Lindsays most recent arrest for DUI and possession of cocaine. Rice says she was in the SUV driven by Michelle Peck, the mother of Lohans former assistant. Rice says Lohan, “put me through one of the most frightening experiences of my life." TMZ reports:

According to the suit, Tracie Rice was in the SUV driven by Michelle Peck, the mother of LiLo’s former assistant. Rice says she "was convinced that their lives were in danger and that they had to outrun the pursuing car or they might be killed." The night of the incident, Rice claims Peck was so terrified at being chased by Lohan that she drove through a barricade and into the parking lot near the Santa Monica Police Station. Rice says she jumped out of the Cadillac Escalade and ran toward police officers and saw a woman, who turned out to be Lohan, run from another SUV toward her. "Police officers approached all of them with guns drawn," the suit said.

The suit was filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She’s suing LiLo for intentional infliction of emotional distress, and also seeks unspecified damages and payment of medical and other expenses.

Police had guns drawn on a big breasted freckled stick girl on coke and alcohol. This is just like a scene out of Terminator 4. Lindsay is unstoppable. I heard she beat up an armed coke dealer that night and made him cry like a baby. She even had his balls hanging from her mirror during the high speed chase. No wonder this Rice girl was so scared. Lindsay Lohan really is in rehab at the Cirque Lodge in Orem, Utah. And not only is she there, but for the first time she might actually be determined to get sober. She is not in a fabulous guest suite as reported earlier this week by "the Insider", but rather living in a spartan room that she shares with two roommates and she spends her time either in a structured recovery environment or doing chores such as cleaning bathrooms. Her recovery actually began immediately after her arrest for DUI on July 24th. It was then she began an intense medical detox at a facility in Los Angeles. From there she went directly to Cirque.

A fellow patient named Jane P. has confirmed to The Insider that Lindsay Lohan did check into the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Utah. According to the source, Lindsay is amongst twelve patients (six men and six women) and in order to maintain her privacy, all of the patients’ phone calls are being monitored and their use of the computer has been suspended. And in case you’re curious, this is what Lindsay’s daily schedule is like in the Mormon-run center:

6 AM Wake up call
6:30 AM River hike, followed by a brief meditation
8:00 AM Breakfast is served
8:30 AM Free time — like other residents, Lindsay is assigned cleaning duties — including cleaning her room and her toilet.
9:00 AM Community meeting to discuss what will go on that day.
10:00 AM Speaker meeting
12:00 PM Lunch is served
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Process group/workshops/experiential time — where patients participate in any of the following activities including horseback riding or gardening — which Lindsay did on Tuesday. Spa treatments like massages and pedicures are also available from estheticians-in-training.

6:30 PM Assignment group/recovery work
8:00 PM 12-Step meeting (on or off-site)
9:30 PM Closing meeting — assessment of the day
10:00 PM – 11:00 PM Free time

Makes me wonder how The Insider was able to contact a patient saying she’s in rehab with Lindsay, when all phone calls are monitored and patients cannot use the computer. They probably had a reporter dress up as a doctor to get inside and talk to the patients. The woman actually was checking out of rehab when Lindsay was checking in. I pretended to be a doctor once. I was only asked to leave the hospital after I diagnosed everyone with a "broken funny bone," and after making them laugh I wrote "CURED" on their forehead with a big marker.

Big celebrities get all kinds of preferential treatment in this world. They don’t have to pay for anything, they don’t have to make reservations, and they can generally get out of messes with a little charm. But there is at least one equalizer: Jury duty. Brad Pitt learned this lesson Thursday as he had to march down to the courthouse just like the rest of us slobs.

Okay, maybe Brad’s jury duty wasn’t exactly like the rest of ours. His limousine got to park in the employee parking area, he got to wait in a special room until it was time to meet the judge and attorneys, and he had lunch brought in to him. But other than that, he had to sweat it out like everyone else.

Lucky for Mr. Pitt, the defendant in his would-be case decided to plead "no contest" to his DUI charges and all the jurors got to go home with time served. Angelina must be very relieved.

Lindsay Lohan is supposed to be in at the Cirque rehab facility in Utah, but now there are rumors that she is pregnant again according to OK! magazine:

“It wouldn’t be the first time she had a pregnancy scare.”

Although I doubt Lohan is pregnant, she’s no doubt been studying the positive reaction Nicole Richie has received. Richie gets a second DUI, is facing jail time, gets pregnant, gets sympathy, gets a few days in jail, and everyone loves her again. Lohan is following the same pattern, and right now she may not even be able to find work as an actress, so she’s in desperate need of something to help get her career back on track. I wonder if she’s one of those stars that uses abortion as birth control.

If Lohan did give birth, the baby would probably just be a wad of used condoms. On the other hand, if the always working the party scene Lindsay did have a baby, her mother would most likely raise it, and we know what a great job she did with Lindsay.
