Lindsay Lohan Has Vodka for her Birthday

  Share

Less than three months after leaving rehab, recovering alcoholic and AA member Lindsay Lohan is planning her 21st birthday party, and it will be a 2 day blowout in Las Vegas, sponsored by Svedka vodka. There may not even be a cake, just loads of vodka, or a cake made with vodka that you can pour into a glass with frosting on the rim. The NY Daily News says:

Lohan has lined up Svedka vodka to sponsor her 21st birthday, a rep for the brand confirmed to us yesterday.

It’s part of a deal that could net the star up to seven figures for the July 2-3 celebration.
Other partners include Pure nightclub, Caesars Palace (which is providing a "specially designed" suite) and the Social House restaurant at Treasure Island.

In the pay-to-play world of celebrity events, Vegas nightclubs alone have been known to offer up to $400,000 to land a top name.

Lindsay is the luckiest girl in the world. Here’s more from Women’s Wear Daily:

Lindsay Lohan might usually be seen in Gucci, Chanel or Prada, but come fall, she’ll be hawking a whole new label: Jill Stuart.

The contemporary sportswear designer has snagged Lohan to be the face of its print ad campaign, which will hit August magazines and run through November. The campaign marks the first time Jill Stuart has chosen a celebrity for her ads.

"I can’t say enough fantastic things about Lindsay," Stuart said of her choice to go with the starlet rather than a model. "She is sexy and smart, exactly what the Jill Stuart woman embodies."

So the message these companies are sending young girls that idolize Lindsay is, if you’re a drunk and drug addicted slut who has family problems, and can’t maintain healthy personal relationships, then you will be rich and famous just like Lindsay. It’s a lot easier to sell self-destructive sex objects than fruits and vegetables. These companies should just be more direct in their ads. Take hand bags for instance. Why not just say, "Buy a BIGGER BAG to hold more Coke," and have Lindsay holding the bag with white power on her hands, and nose.

Nicole Richie Back in Rehab

  Share

Both The National Enquirer and Star magazine are reporting that Nicole Richie is in rehab. Usmagazine called Nicole’s rep who says, "She is not in rehab. She is at home in Glendale. Sobriety is an ongoing process, but she is sober." Who should we believe?

Richie’s rep confirms that the reality star continues to visit her therapist at the center where she was originally treated for her addiction.

She is due in court on June 8 for a pretrial hearing regarding last year’s DUI. Nicole’s hearing is scheduled only three days after Paris is to report for jail. Nicole knows there is mandatory jail time for a second DUI, so it would not be a big surprise if she did try to use rehab as an excuse to avoid the jail time.

The National Enquirer and Star magazine sent us this update this morning 5-23:

Nicole Richie is GETTING OUTPATIENT TREATMENT, she originally checked in to the treatment facility on May 11, and National Enquirer and Star have a photo of her (bauer griffin agency) going into the facility on May 19.

Despite the carefully-worded denial from Nicole Richie’s publicist, sources at The National Enquirer and Star magazine insist they stand by their story 100% that the Simple Life star recently sought treatment for anorexia and substance abuse.

Additionally, the mag’s have damning evidence – photographic proof.

Both The Enquirer and Star have pictures of Nicole entering the Beau Monde Treatment Center in Corona Del Mar, California, on May 19th.

Ain’t no denying that!

Lane Garrison to Plead Guilty to Felonies

  Share

Lane Garrison will plead guilty when he enters a courtroom in Beverly Hills this morning.

Garrison will plead guilty to one count of vehicular manslaughter, a felony. The "Prison Break" star will also plead guilty to one count of felony DUI with bodily injury. He’ll also admit his blood alcohol level was over .15, which could increase the sentence by eight months. Garrison will plead guilty to one misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to a minor.

Based on the pleas, Garrison faces five years and eight months in prison.

Garrison’s high-powered lawyer, Harland Braun, says absolutely no sentencing deal has been struck. Braun says, "Lane fully expects to go to prison or jail," adding, "It’s very unusual for anyone in our society to accept responsibility for anything."

Braun will ask Judge Eldon Fox to set the sentencing hearing 60 days from today.

Update: During the emotional court session, the actor faced the judge and muttered the words, "I am guilty." Sentencing has been set for August 2.
