  This is another example of Hollywood’s skewed logic cultivated in their remarkably insulated world. They claim that middle America is detacthed from reality, yet people like Michael Moore assume capitalism is evil, the very economic system that provided him with his success. Furthermore, Hollywood wanted throw a hissy fit over Prop 8, but only AFTER the fact, only then realizing that there are actually other people in California with differing opinions. Not to mention, Hollywood’s claim that they embrace freedom of expression and acceptance of diversity in thought, ethnicity, and philosophy, when they resist films of subject matter that’s antithetical to their beliefs. Moreover, they continue to perpetrate black stereotypes on television shows like CSI and Law and Order, where the young black males assume the role of gangster or thug/cocky athlete. And now this Roman Polanski controversy. Have these actors ever considered defending Catholic priests who raped children 30-40 years ago? Why should Polanski be any treated any differently? And I wonder, would these celebrities feel the same way if the victim was one of their family members?
