Monique Shinnery Allegedly Gave Alcohol to Minors

Tucker Chapman’s girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, was thrown out of a Honolulu club last month for allegedly purchasing drinks for underage patrons. Remember Monique? She is the woman who claims Dog unfairly attacked her character, and the attack was simply racist. Monique even told the National Enquirer that she was going to sue Duane Chapman (Dog) for slander, and refused to accept his apology.

Well, Shinnery was at the 21-and-over club Lulu’s in Honolulu on the night of October 13. According to Honolulu P.D. Detective Eli Walters, who was off duty, and working security that night, Shinnery was asked to leave the club after it was learned she was giving drinks to people under the age of 21. When Walters came over to help remove Shinnery and Chapman from the club, he says that Shinnery immediately began playing the race card, saying the only reason they were being kicked out was that they were an interracial couple.

Walters says that the only reason he ever knew who they were was because Tucker came back later that night to get the full rundown on why they were tossed. In fact, Walters tells us that he gave Tucker his contact info so he could get a book signed by the Dog. He never heard back, probably because Tucker was already planning to betray his father to impress his girlfriend.

Monique is a teacher in a public school. She should not only know better than to buy alcohol for minors, but she should be fired if the allegations are true. I believe Eli Walters when he says Monique bought alcohol for minors. I also believe Dog was right to say the reason he didn’t want his son Tucker with Monique was because she had poor character, and not because she is black. If anyone deserves an apology it’s Dog for being falsely accused of being a racist, when he was only trying to protect his son from himself, and from Monique who is obviously trouble.

Monique Shinnery Plans to sue Duane Chapman

Monique Shinnery tells the National Enquirer she plans to sue Duane Chapman (aka Dog). She says:

"I want justice. He (Dog) has slandered me, stated that I have bad character, and repeatedly lied about me on national television … It’s not even about him using the ’N’ word. It’s about him not wanting a black woman to be part of his family or part of his son’s life."

First, I don’t think Dog said anything that stands the legal test of slander. The legal readers can correct me if I’m wrong. Sticks and stones Monique. Sometimes life isn’t fair. If his family won’t accept her, and that bothers her so much, then find a new guy with a family that accepts her. Seems to me if she was looking for trouble she came to the right family.

Duane Chapman (aka Dog) was on Hannity & Colmes last night to try to help people understand him, and how he used the word nigger in the past. The bottom line is that Dog is not a racist. Dog should not give in to the real racists who want him to say he’s a racist just to get them off his back. Dog should keep being honest with himself no matter what the cost. Integrity, honesty, and accountability is what people will remember and respect him for. The video here is a little over 9 minutes. Monique Shinnery Won’t Accept Duane Chapman Apology

Duane Chapman (aka Dog) was facing jail time for a 2003 capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico, where bounty hunting is a considered a crime. Currently Luster is a 124-year prison sentence for rape in California. He was convicted absentia. A Mexican trial judge threw out all charges against Dog and his associates last August, and after a federal judge reviewed the case he decided Dog will not face extradition, so he’s free at last.

Dog’s oldest son Christopher is defending him, and says his father IS NOT a racist. Click here to see the video.

A&E decided to no longer show re-runs of Dog’s show, in addition to suspending it.

Monique Shinnery, who is African-American, and the girlfriend of Duane "Dog" Chapman’s son Tucker, and the girl who was the subject of conversation in the tape sold to the National Enquirer, says she won’t accept Dog’s apology:

"I think Duane’s apology was pathetic because it was not directed toward us. He didn’t personally call Tucker or me to apologize. His attorney, Brook Hart, did. So, I personally don’t accept it."

Dog doesn’t owe Monique an apology. His feelings towards her haven’t changed, and he doesn’t need to apologize to a son who betrayed him. Monique should be apologizing to Dog and Tucker for having come between a son and his father. Blood is thicker than water, and girlfriends come and go.

The National Enquirer is throwing everything they can get at Dog to smear his name. I wonder if this is a personal vendetta against Dog. Click here to read the latest.

Duane Chapman Betrayed

The lawyer for Duane Chapman (Dog) confirms his son, Tucker, was the person who sold taped phone calls to the National Enquirer, for "a lot of money." The exact amount is $15,000. Two days ago I said:

"It appears Tucker recorded conversations with his father, and turned those tapes over to the National Enquirer, which is the ultimate betrayal."

In most states it is illegal to tape someone else without their permission, and might elevate to a crime if that tape is "sold" to a tabloid. Maybe some of our legal readers can shed some light on this area of the law.

Tucker set his own father up over a girl. Family comes first Tucker. He’s going to be lonely this holiday season. So far 91% of HG readers say they don’t think Dog is a racist. See the poll here.

Dog Duane Chapman Issues Apology

Dog Duane Chapman is going out of his way to kiss some black butt. He issued this apology:

"My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people â€“ who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.

"In Hawaii, we have something called Ho’oponopono, where people come together to resolve crises and restore peace and balance. I am meeting with my spiritual advisor, Rev. Tim Storey, and hope to meet with other black leaders so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again.

"I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing. I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me. We learn from our mistakes, as my story of overcoming a life of crime has proven, and I will learn from this one for the rest of my life."

The other day the heads of the Hip Hop companies were testifying before congress, and they said banning three words, which included "nigger," was not going to solve anything. The Hip Hop heads used the literary classic the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain as an example where the word "nigger" is used many times, and they said that book should not be banned, so they said the word "nigger" should not be banned from being used in music, or by people anywhere. When put in context, the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, used the word "nigger" because at the time it was culturally accepted and a commonly used word. Dog grew up in a culture that used the word "nigger" to describe a person in a direct way, but not in a derogatory way if you take his explanation to his son as true, and since he didn’t know he was being taped, I accept his definition. Hip Hop artists use the word "nigger" in a derogatory way, and say using the word is their right. This is America, and Dog is an American citizen. Dog can say "nigger" any way he chooses, as a freedom of speech right. Saying Dog can’t say "nigger," is saying that blacks have more rights than other Americans. Despite my freedom of speech argument, which many with prejudice against whites will reject, Dog apologized, so the next step is forgiveness.

Dog Duane Chapman Racist Phone Call – Audio

The National Enquirer got a hold of two taped phone calls between Duane Chapman, aka Dog, and his son. Dog is concerned that his son is dating a black woman named Monique Shinnery. For nearly eight minutes Dog threatens to fire his son Tucker from the family bail bond business if he does not breakup with that “black girl,” Dog did also say on the tape "it’s not because she’s black." What it sounded like Dog was saying is that he doesn’t want a black girl around, because if she heard them say "nigger," which he said they use that word sometimes, the black girl would take it wrong and tell the Enquirer, and the rest of the world would misunderstand how the family used the word, and their careers would be over. Guess what? He may be right. Dog doesn’t sound racist. It sounds like he uses the word "nigger" the same way blacks do, except without the derogatory meaning. After hearing about the tape, A&E issued the following statement:

"A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action."

A&E Suspended Production on Dog the Bounty Hunter, which means Dog might be fired, or at least indefinitely suspended.

Dog asked to have dialog with Rear End Al Sharpton regarding the tapes, and good old Al issued this response:

Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and the organization’s Decency Initiative are unequivocally against the use of the "N" word in any context. While people have the freedom to express themselves in any matter in private, when those private conversations become public, it becomes our responsibility to state, as we always have, that we condemn the use of this word as racist and derogatory. Dog the Bounty Hunter has reached out to Reverend Sharpton who is traveling to promote his March on the U.S. Justice Department on November 16th against Hate Crimes and Racial Attacks and therefore Rev. Sharpton has not had a chance to hear the audio of the remarks. However, until he does hear the audio, National Action Network maintains that is against the use of the "N" word.

Dog is now referring all phone calls to his Pastor Tim. Pastor Tim Storey, an African-American, said he spoke with Dog, who cried for 30 minutes, saying:

"I’m shocked, I’m wrong I repent. Can you believe, Tim, that I’m going to be put in the same category as Imus."

Pastor Storey, who performed Dog and Beth’s wedding ceremony, went on to say:

"I was shocked, because I don’t know that to be Duane." He went on, "I felt that he had to be accountable to what he said. When I asked him what took place, why he said it, he said that he was angry with his son about many things. The subject of his son’s girlfriend came up, and in his anger he then attacked that relationship and then therefore challenged the girl by saying she wasn’t good enough. What shocked me was that he used the N word. I know he’s not a racist. He’s been to black churches with me to help inner-city kids. I talked to Dog three times today and he apologized, saying he wasn’t angry at the girl, it was anger toward his son."

It’s not that the girl is black, it’s just that she’s not good enough to be with a Dog’s son, and because the word "nigger" has a different meaning for her than it does for Dog’s family. It appears Tucker recorded conversations with his father, and turned those tapes over to the National Enquirer, which is the ultimate betrayal. With holidays just around the corner, Tucker is going to be awfully lonely.

Duane “Dog” Chapman Gets Legislators Help and His Nephew Hurt Drunk Driving

At 9 a.m., the "Chapman Resolution" – or House Concurrent Resolution 50 – will be heard in the the House of Representatives to decide if the legislators will support the Chapmans and ask the government and courts of Mexico to drop extradition proceedings against them.

Duane "Dog" Chapman, Leland Chapman and Tim Chapman, whose bounty hunting exploits are documented on A&E’s "The Bounty Hunter," face extradition to Mexico for their illegal 2003 arrest of serial rapist and cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who is currently serving a 124-year prison sentence for his crimes.

The Chapmans were arrested at their homes on Sept. 14, 2006 by U.S. Marshals and spent one night in the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu before posting bail.

Meanwhile…

A nephew of bounty hunter and television personality Duane "Dog" Chapman was critically injured early Sunday morning when his vehicle struck a tree in Lower Puna near the Lava Tree State Park. Justin DeRago Bihag, 24, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving without a license, driving without no-fault insurance and inattention to driving, said Big Island police spokeswomen Chris Loos.

The single-car accident on Highway 132 was reported to police at about 2:20 a.m., Loos said.

Bihag, of Pahoa, has appeared in episodes of the popular television series "Dog The Bounty Hunter." After the crash he was taken to Hilo Medical Center and later transported to The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.

A spokeswoman for Queen’s said Bihag remains at the hospital, but declined to release any information about his condition.

Loos said Big Island police policy does not permit disclosure of blood-alcohol content.

Duane “Dog” Chapman Loses Extradition Battle in Mexico

A federal court has cleared the way for TV bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman to be extradited to face charges in Mexico, court officials said. Norma Jara, a spokeswoman for the second district court in Guadalajara, said the court rejected Chapman’s injunction request, ruling there was no reason not to try him with the charge of deprivation of liberty of Mexico. "We only just heard about the Mexican court’s decision to continue with the extradition proceedings, and are still in shock," Chapman and his wife, Beth, said in a statement issued Thursday night in Honolulu. "Our attorneys have not even been formally informed of the court’s decision, as of yet," they said. "We are obviously deeply disappointed and fearful of what will happen, and are currently absorbing the news and discussing our options at this time."

Mexican authorities had already asked for Chapman’s extradition from Hawaii. Chapman’s lawyers argued he would not be guaranteed a fair trial in Mexico, Jara said. The charges against the 53-year-old star of the A&E reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter" stem from his June 2003 capture of convicted rapist Andrew Luster, the Max Factor heir, in Puerto Vallarta, 210 miles west of Guadalajara.

Chapman was arrested Sept. 14 along with his son and another associate and released on $300,000 bail. He faces up to four years in a Mexican jail if convicted.

Luster’s capture shot the Honolulu-based bounty hunter to fame and led to the TV series. His disappearance set off an international manhunt by police, FBI and bounty hunters trying to recoup some of the bond money. Luster is serving a 124-year prison term.

This is sad, because we need to have an extradition agreement with Mexico to get back fugitives that flee to Mexico, however Dog had to go down and retrieve Luster because Federalies did not do their jobs in Mexico. It’s no secret there’s a lot of corruption in Mexico, and it’s for that reason we should not allow Dog to be extradited, because he may not receive a fair trial or sentence if convicted. Our State Department needs to accompany him ever step of the way through the process.

Duane Chapman AKA Dog Sued By Girlfriend of Fugitive

A woman has filed a lawsuit against Duane Chapman (Dog), alleging the TV bounty hunter and his crew threw her down a flight of stairs and broke her back while apprehending her boyfriend.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Audrey Emery and seeks unspecified damages to be determined by at trial.

It accuses Chapman and his fellow bounty hunters of injuring Emery at her Pearl City apartment on Jan. 26, 2005 in the course of arresting Stuart Calistro, and filming for the A&E reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter"

"They’re filming this TV segment and she is upset because you have these thugs breaking into her apartment and she doesn’t want them in there, so they decide the convenient thing is to throw her down the stairs," Emery’s attorney Richard Turbin said Thursday.

Chapman and his wife, Beth, released a statement saying their family has become a "target of frivolous lawsuits and publicity seeking attorneys."

"We pride ourselves in making sure that everything we do is within the bounds of the law and we are confident that we did so in this case," he said. "The videotape in the television show itself demonstrates that the charges against us are baseless."

Meanwhile, Chapman is waiting for a ruling by a Mexican judge about his pending extradition in a criminal case there.

The 53-year-old reality star, currently free on $300,000 bond, has been charged under Mexican law with "deprivation of liberty" for his June 2003 capture of fugitive convicted rapist Andrew Luster, the Max Factor heir, in Puerto Vallarta.

His publicist said a decision in the case is expected by Tuesday.
