Dancing with the Stars Cast Revealed

Emmy-nominated host Tom Bergeron appeared on Good Morning America today to reveal the record number of stars that will appear on Dancing with the Stars.

Paula Abdul did not make the list. Add that to Paula’s list of incredible offers that didn’t pan out.

Here’s the full list of stars you’ll see during the three-day premiere of Dancing With the Stars, kicking off Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. on ABC:

  • Kathy Ireland, 46, model
  • Macy Gray, 41, singer
  • Melissa Joan Hart, 33, actress
  • Mya, 29, singer
  • Ashley Hamilton, 34, actor-comedian
  • Michael Irvin, 43, football player
  • Mark Dacascos, 45, actor and martial artist
  • Donny Osmond, 51, entertainer
  • Kelly Osbourne, 24, singer
  • Debi Mazar, 45, actress
  • Chuck Liddell, 39, UFC fighter
  • Natalie Coughlin, 26, swimmer
  • Joanna Krupa, 30, model
  • Louie Vito, 21, snowboarder
  • Aaron Carter, 21, singer
  • Tom DeLay, 62, former House majority leader

Tom DeLay? Really? Even Kelly Osbourne made the list, and she’s listed as a singer. I had no idea Kelly could sing. This should be an interesting season.

I did find Kelly singing One Word at the 2005 Australian VMA, and sad to say her singing was worse than the amateurs at a Karaoke bar.

marie osmond Donny Osmond Apologizes to Larry King

Donny Osmond apologized to Larry King for criticizing the CNN talk-show host after Larry revealed that Marie Osmond’s 16-year-old son had entered rehab. Marie appeared stunned, and asked Larry how he knew that her adopted son was in rehab. Donny and Marie were very upset, but still found it in their hearts to forgive Larry like the true Christians they are. Donny said:

"I was very upset about it," the 49-year-old singer said in an interview that aired Monday on NBC’s "Today" show. "I thought it was very unfair for Larry King to throw that question at Marie the way he did. I have to back up and apologize publicly to Larry King because I came out and said some things against him … In hindsight, Larry King did Marie a favor," Osmond said. "She was able to make a statement about the situation. … And so she’s grateful to Larry."

Larry should have been the one to apologize to Marie for asking such a rude question right after her father died. Click here to see the video.

George Osmond Died Today

george osmond George Osmond Died Today

George Osmond, father of Donny and Marie Osmond and patriarch to the family’s singing group, The Osmond Brothers, died Tuesday. He was 90.

George Osmond also had 55 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

A World War II veteran, Osmond also served missions for the Mormon church in Hawaii and the United Kingdom. In his professional life, he worked in real estate, insurance sales and was once the postmaster for the city of Ogden. He gave up his work to manage the singing careers of his children.

Together, Osmond and his wife formed the Osmond Foundation, which later became the Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals.

Donny Osmond said of his father, "He was the best man I’ve ever known."

Hollywood fathers and mothers (the Lohans) today have a million excuses as to why their children become drug addicted train wrecks, but not one of them look in the mirror and realize it’s mostly their fault. If George could do it, so can other parents. There was no media circus when George died, but he will be missed just the same.
