Michael Lohan will be visiting his daughter Lindsay Lohan at Cirque Lodge rehabilitation center in Utah. This will be the first time in years they’ve seen each other. Dina Lohan agreed to drop a restraining order against Michael so he could see Lindsay. Counselors will be present during the visit, which is meant to help Lindsay face her past. Michael is also a recovering alcoholic. Michael is rumored to be getting a reality TV show of his own soon, so he might just try to sneak in a camera crew. It’s hard to say how helpful it will be when Michael sees Lindsay’s chest and exclaims, "dang, my girl is all grown up," and Lindsay starts her pole dancing routine just for daddy.

Amy Winehouse’s father-in law says fans should stop buying her records to force the singer to seek help for her drug addiction. Here’s more:

Giles Fielder-Civil said he believed Winehouse and his son, Blake Fielder-Civil, had used cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin and were in "abject denial" about their problem.

"I think they believe they are recreational users of drugs and they are in control," Fielder-Civil told British Broadcasting Corp. radio Tuesday. "Clearly they are addicts."

He said fans should send a message to Winehouse "that her addiction and her behavior are not acceptable."

"Perhaps it is time to stop buying records," Fielder-Civil said. "It’s a possibility, to send that message."

Who knew Blake’s father was such a genius? No money, no drugs. Seems like a no brainer, but then there’s Amy’s father…

"It’s all clutching at straws," Mitch Winehouse told the BBC. "There’s only one way out of this, and anybody with any drug experience will tell you … that the only way out of this is not sectioning them, not locking them up. At some point they are going to reach rock bottom … and at that point they will say, `Listen, I don’t want to do this anymore.’"

Giles Fielder-Civil said Winehouse’s record label should be more "pro-active in helping the couple to get better."

Obviously Amy’s father is the enabler, much like Dina Lohan. For him it’s not about kicking the addiction, it’s about bringing home the money. If asked that timeless question, "the money or your daughter’s life?" it’s clear he’d choose the money. Looks like it’s all up to the fans now. Fans bought the albums, made her rich, and with the money she could afford the addiction, so now it’s time to stop buying until Amy cleans up her life. Show Amy some tough love, boycott her albums and concerts.

Lindsay Lohan has struck a deal by pleading no contest to two counts of DUI and will serve 10 days community service and one day in jail (the minimum sentence of four days was cut in half by the judge, and she was also credited one day for the time served when she was arrested). Lindsay also pleaded guilty to two counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance and pled no contest to reckless driving. The judge ordered Lindsay to serve 36 months probation and attend an alcohol education program for 18 months, as well as enroll in a drug program and "not to associate with people with controlled substances." For her 2 DUIs, 2 counts of possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility, driving on a suspended license, drinking underage and fleeing the scene of an accident, and recklessly trying to run down someone down with her car, Lindsay will serve 1 day in jail. She could check in at midnight and check out right after midnight, so she could spend less time in jail than Nicole Richie. In what amounts to another crappy acting job Lindsay issued the following statement:

"It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs.

Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have.

I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so."

As for Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan, here’s what the judge told him when he got a DUI:

Michael Lohan Lohan, 45, had been driving with a suspended or revoked license and had a blood-alcohol level nearly double the legal limit, Watson said. He pleaded guilty Friday to the reduced charge of driving while impaired.

The judge rejected a request by Lohan’s lawyers that he be sentenced to an alcohol rehabilitation program instead of prison.

Daddy served about 2 years in prison, while his little girl gets 1 day for far more charges. This will no doubt improve their father-daughter relationship. Lindsay is following in Daddy’s footsteps. Ali just snuck out of the house and got into a car wreck herself. When is it gonna be Dina’s turn? Soon I hope. The judge ordered Lindsay to "not to associate with people with controlled substances." He should have added "and your mother." Addicts and alcoholics don’t stop until they hit a low point, and 1 day in jail plus nature walks at a rehab center in Utah doesn’t seem like a low point. We’ll be seeing Lindsay again with a new mug shot, and rehashed excuses.

Looking to score points with Lindsay, Michael Lohan issued this statement after Lindsay’s plea deal was announced:

“I am overjoyed that the system sees that Lindsay is getting the help she needed by putting her best foot forward and by going to rehab. I think between her attorney, Blair Berk, and her therapists at Cirque Lodge, she’s around people that care about her best welfare and Lindsay as a human being. I just hope I can be part of the right path she is on.”

Does anyone honestly believe that Michael thinks Lindsay’s sentence was fair, just, or helpful to her? If he cared about her then he would have said something like, “she needs to do some hard time, so she can face some hard realizations, and turn her life around because she’s hit rock bottom.” Instead he just kissed her butt because he loves her money more than his daughter, just like everyone else around her. With these people around Lindsay she could be dead before the year is out, and her family will be making money off book deals, movie deals, and endorsements to use her name. Not even Captain America can help Lindsay now, because he’s dead. Remember?

Not to be outdone, and to continue enabling her little girl, Dina Lohan has issued the following statement this evening also:

“My children and I are in a wonderful place in our lives, and people just want to make things up and see us fail!”

Does this statement smack of someone out-of-touch with reality? No one made up the charges, or the plea deal, or the 1 day in jail sentence. Dina should be down on her knees begging the public for forgiveness for being the type of parent that has been pictured doing alcohol and drugs with Lindsay, and messing up her kid’s lives. She doesn’t have to worry about failing. Dina has already failed as a parent. The last 5 movies Lindsay did have failed. Her last 2 trips to rehab failed. Lindsay failed to stay clean after her first DUI, and got a second in record time. Now Lindsay has failed to keep herself from making her father’s mistake of becoming an ex-con. Don’t forget 13 year-old Ali Lohan just got into a car wreck herself. Is this the “wonderful place in our lives” Dina is talking about?

The New York Daily News said yesterday that Lindsay Lohan is spending her time in rehab daydreaming about reviving her music … umm … "career" (?). Rush and Malloy say:

Insiders say Lohan has let Universal Music execs know she’s ready to deliver the third album she owes. But do they want it?

Guided by Casablanca label head Tommy Mottola, Lohan recorded the 2004 CD "Speak," which sold a respectable 1.6 million copies here and abroad. Her 2005 followup, "A Little More Personal," did more than 600,000 units.

Mottola had been after Lohan to get back into the studio, but she didn’t have time with all the movies she was making. Then came her two DUI arrests and a charge of cocaine possession. Amid reports that insurance companies were afraid to bond her pictures, her schedule freed up.

But lately, relations between Mottola and Lohan are said to have cooled. (He didn’t return our calls.) And others at Universal Music are approaching her cautiously.

"As much as she wants to make another album," says one insider, "the feeling is she needs to get herself cleaned up. Then we can talk about it."

For an industry that prides itself on sex, drugs, and violence, they do have a bottom line which involves making money. Lohan’s first record was due to her previous success as a child actress, the second dropped to about 1/3 of the first album’s sales. Lohan’s third album would probably sell as many as Paris Hilton. Lohan’s movies don’t make money either. Lohan should just give up on Hollywood and join the circus where she fits in.

Yesterday Michael and Dina Lohan came to an agreement in their divorce:

Though the terms of the agreement were not disclosed, state Supreme Court Justice Robert A. Ross reportedly told the Lohans, ‘You have both demonstrated to me extraordinarily good judgment in resolving this matter as you did.’ Despite today’s events, the Lohans will be in family court on Sept. 6 to determine a custody and visitation agreement for their underage children, 13-year-old Aliana and 11-year-old Dakota.

I feel for the judge. Imagine trying to decide between Dina who has been pictured drinking and doing drugs with Lindsay, and Michael who has been in jail for the past 2 years on a DUI charge. He might as well give the kids to a pack of wolves. I guess it could be worse. The kids could have been raised by Jihad loving parents, who strap bomb belts on the kids and tell them to go out and make them proud.

When Lindsay was at Promises she went roller blading and bicycling on the beach, then relapsed only 11 days later. Now she’s at the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah where she stays busy by hiking, bicycling, and whitewater-rafting. On August 16 she went for a 90-minute bike ride around Orem, and the next day she went rafting on the Provo River dressed in a pirate bandanna. She was also seen shopping at an Abercrombie and Fitch store and at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory where she picked up $70 worth of chocolates.

If you didn’t know Lindsay was a drunk and a drug addict in need of rehab, you might get the justified impression that Promises and Cirque Lodge were either summer camps or spas. They probably smoke pot around the camp fire, and eat pot brownies all day, to keep their clients more relaxed during their stay. At a real rehab they’d lock you in your room after searching it, wake you up with a fire hose, lock you in a box for 2 days in the hot sun outside if you misbehave, make you exercise, and learn how to take care of yourself during difficult circumstances, like trying to make it out of a swamp filled with poisonous snakes and no water or food for a week. That hat Lindsay is wearing should say "fake."

Lindsay Lohan is supposed to be in at the Cirque rehab facility in Utah, but now there are rumors that she is pregnant again according to OK! magazine:

“It wouldn’t be the first time she had a pregnancy scare.”

Although I doubt Lohan is pregnant, she’s no doubt been studying the positive reaction Nicole Richie has received. Richie gets a second DUI, is facing jail time, gets pregnant, gets sympathy, gets a few days in jail, and everyone loves her again. Lohan is following the same pattern, and right now she may not even be able to find work as an actress, so she’s in desperate need of something to help get her career back on track. I wonder if she’s one of those stars that uses abortion as birth control.

If Lohan did give birth, the baby would probably just be a wad of used condoms. On the other hand, if the always working the party scene Lindsay did have a baby, her mother would most likely raise it, and we know what a great job she did with Lindsay.
