Actor, and father of Charlie, Martin Sheen has pleaded with his son Charlie,
and daughter-in-law Denise Richards to end their bitter war of words, and plan
ahead for a friendlier future.

The West Wing star is upset by the feud that is tearing his family apart and
thinks it’s high time the couple stop and think about their children. He says,
"I’ve asked all sides to stop for a minute, to have a ceasefire… What’s really
at stake are the future of these little kids, LOLA and SAM. "I have every
confidence that both Charlie and Denise will become friends; it’ll take a while,
obviously… It’s a terrible nuisance that it’s gone as far as it has and the
way that it has." But Sheen admits he does feel for his son, who was recently
attacked in legal documents by his estranged wife, who claimed the actor was
obsessed with internet porn and gambling and made threats towards her and her
family when Richards first decided their marriage was over.

The actor adds, "He (Charlie) feels he’s under attack. Some of the charges are
absolutely outrageous… He’s holding up pretty well."

Interpretation: Hey Denise quit lying, and thinking of only yourself, and start
thinking about what is best for the children that want a father and a mother in
their lives. Of course now Denise will blame all that happens from here forward
on her attorney, saying this is what he has advised.

Denise Richards says Heather Locklear has betrayed her.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Richards denies she was involved with Richie
Sambora, the estranged husband of Locklear, before Locklear and Sambora split.

"Heather knows why and when her marriage ended with Richie and she knows why my
marriage ended with Charlie Sheen," Richards said when TMZ caught up with her on
Tuesday.

Richards says comments by Locklear and David Spade, who suggested Richards had
back-stabbed Locklear, were a "betrayal."

"It is a betrayal because a lot of it isn’t true and they know that and that’s
what’s hard," Richards said. "I have to try and just stay focused on my kids and
forget that part of it as difficult as it is."

Richards also tells TMZ that she stands by the allegations she has made against
Sheen in their divorce. "I stand by it and it’s sad that it’s gotten to this,"
she says. "My focus is just getting my girls through this because it’s very,
very difficult and very sad."

The Denise Richards/Charlie Sheen war just got uglier. David Spade has fired
the latest salvo, claiming Richards is a backstabber.

Richards, who has accused Sheen of a laundry list of sins including death
threats against her, is apparently romantically involved with Richie Sambora,
whose marriage to Heather Locklear is also ending. Locklear and Richards were
once close friends, until the ‘Spin City’ star learned of Richards’ relationship
with her estranged husband.

Thursday, outside the popular Los Angeles restaurant Koi, Spade, who has been
romantically linked to Locklear, was asked how Heather feels about Denise these
days. His response, "She’s still nursing the knife wound in her back."

Charlie Sheen is being a gentleman by refusing to discuss his ugly divorce
from Denise Richards – but it isn’t stopping his friends from talking.

His manager, Mark Burg, is particularly angry about Richards’ claims that Sheen
likes gay porno and gambling and makes death threats. He told Page Six, "All of
this is nothing more than child-custody issues.

"This all started because Charlie wanted 50-50 custody . . . When Denise said
no. Charlie said, ‘Then let a judge decide.’ The next day, she comes out with a
bunch of bull[bleep] claims.

"Did he gamble on sports? Big deal. Every guy I know does. Show me a guy who
hasn’t seen porn on the Internet. Does that mean he’s not a good father? No.
This guy lives for his kids. And she drummed all this up so he can’t see his
kids. It is the single worst behavior of a parent I have ever seen."

As for Richards’ friendly relationship with the paparazzi and her sympathetic
portrayal in the tabloids, Burg adds, "There are groups like Alcoholics
Anonymous. Denise needs to go to National Enquirer Anonymous. This shouldn’t be
fought in the press.

"Is Charlie upset? Yes. Did he threaten to kill her? No. Would he kill her? No
way. When someone tells her something she doesn’t want to hear, they’re out the
door."

Others who have disagreed with Richards have been dropped from her inner circle.
Two weeks ago, she fired her divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser – who likes to keep
her cases out of the press – in favor of Neil Hersch.

Richards also dropped her longtime public-relations gurus at PMK-HBH this week
because, as a source delicately put it, PMK-HBH had "different strategies in
mind" than she did.

Meanwhile, sources say Richards told Sheen that she and Richie Sambora have been
seeing each other romantically since early November – not March, as Richards has
told others. Sambora’s soon to be ex, Heather Locklear – Richards’ former best
friend – is said to be "utterly devastated."

David Spade, who has been seeing Locklear recently, told Us Weekly reporter
Matthew Cole Weiss at Republic restaurant in L.A. the other night, "All I know
is [Heather] is home nursing her knife wounds in the back tonight."

Spade’s view is echoed by many. Locklear and Richards had many of the same
friends in the Westlake area. "No one is talking to Denise right now," a source
said. "They are all just appalled."

Denise Richards and Heather Locklear’s friendship may be over now that
Richards has been seen getting cozy with Locklear’s soon-to-be ex, Richie
Sambora. But the two women were once so close, they shared a kiss.

When Richards guest starred on ‘Spin City’, the show Locklear and Richards’
soon-to-be ex, Charlie Sheen, starred in, Richards and Locklear’s characters
kissed. It was part of an episode in which Sheen’s character learns that
Richards’ character used to date women.

The episode aired in Nov. 2001. At the time, Locklear was quoted as saying, "I
have never felt such beautiful soft lips in my life. I fell in love."

She probably doesn’t feel the same way now.
