Del Martin is Dead
Del Martin (right) has died at the age of 87 in San Francisco this morning. Del recently married her lesbian partner, Phyllis Lyon (left), of 55 years on June 17 after California allowed same-sex marriages.
Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin Got Married
Phyllis Lyon (84) and Del Martin (87) are a lesbian couple living in San Francisco that have been together for 55 years. The couple got married yesterday, and made history as the first gay couple to ever legally marry in California, and they could just be the oldest too. The marriage was held at San Francisco City Hall.
It looks like all those gay weddings years ago didn’t count.
