Robin Williams had open heart surgery to repair a heart valve, and another heart valve replaced, 8 weeks ago. Williams went on the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about his surgery, and to promote his sold out Weapons of Self-Destruction that he postponed temporarily to recover from his surgery.

Williams looks fantastic, and he’s as funny as ever, even with the small amount of brain damage that occurs from the heart bypass machine during surgery. Dave had quadruple coronary artery bypass graphs (aka CABG) himself years ago.

Beyonce was on The Late Show with David Letterman looking incredibly hot, but that’s not the big news. The big news is that Beyonce has new movie in theaters called Obsessed, and it took the number one box office spot with an $11 million haul in its first day.

Obsessed is a bad movie that doesn’t have much for a storyline, but it gets help by Beyonce and Ali Larter with their good performances that make a bad movie, a good bad movie. Good enough to take the top spot temporarily, but it may not be good enough to break any records.

It would seem Hollywood should take note of Beyonce’s star power in attracting audiences to a bad movie like Obsessed, and offer her some better roles.

Nathan Lane, who is almost always entertaining, went on David Letterman to talk about his Star Trek cameo as Larry Spock.

Lily Allen performed her single The Fear on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, and she wasn’t drunk. Lily said she performs better drunk, but she sang live without alcohol, and we thought she sounded better than usual.
