The contest is about one’s talent in singing. It’s not a Ms. Universe Beauty Pageant for Pete’s sake. He wants a better life for himself and his mother. Some people simply delight in beating people down to the ground. Applaud him for taking the steps to better his life. If we were to always take this approach, not one of us will have a chance of doing better because of people simply being so judmental. We can all give ourselves a break by giving him a break and by not being so self-righteous. Even some of the residents in the South have made accomodation for this already. For Pete’s sake, cast the first stone on yourself, okay?
