A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has suspended David Hasselhoff’s right to visit his children in the wake of the videotape showing the actor drunk on his living room floor. Hasselhoff is allowed to have telephone contact only.

On May 21, the judge will hold a hearing on the videotape and how it will affect Hasselhoff’s long-term visitation rights.

The judge also ordered that Hasselhoff, his ex-wife Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff and their kids meet with a psychologist prior to the May 21st hearing. The psychologist has the power to adjust the judge’s order after meeting with the fractured family.

Any good divorce attorney knows that accusing a husband of domestic violence, alcohol abuse, drug addiction, or child molestation in a divorce almost guarantees the wife will walk away with the house, and most of the husband’s cash and assets, even if he proves the allegations are false. Was Hasselhoff’s wife right to release an embarrassing tape like Kim Basinger did to Alec Baldwin?

It’s rumored the judge was cranky the day of the ruling because he didn’t find a golden ticket to the Willie Wonka chocolate factory.

Allegedly this video of an extremely drunk David Hasselhoff has been leaked to "The Insider." This video was shot by the Hoff’s 17-year-old daughter Taylor three months ago. She says to him, "dad look what this is doing to you. You have to stop drinking alcohol, promise me you won’t drink anymore. They’re going to come tomorrow and test you and you’re going to lose your job."

A inside source told The Insider, "David told his daughters that if he ever fell off the wagon, they should tape him so that he’ll know what kind of condition he’s in and learn something from it."

The Hoff also issued this statement: "I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that, I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work. I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my children, who were concerned for my well-being, there was a tape made when I had a relapse to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. I have learned from it, and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my children."

The job the Hoff’s daughter spoke of was a role in the Las Vegas production of The Producers.

The Hoff’s wife is now claiming she’s a victim of the Hoff’s verbal abuse in the divorce, and she has retained Debra Oprey.

Is it really verbal abuse when the Hoff is yelling words that can’t be understood? The most annoying part for his wife was trying to get the smell of the Hoff’s urine out of the carpet, and then there was the tripping over him in the doorway to the bathroom.

I can almost hear her squeaking out a cry for help.

At the Baywatch DVD release party on 10/30, David Hasselhoff couldn’t contain himself. The sweat started flowing from every pore, and it showed. Imagine the smell a few hours later. Probably smelled like old liquor.
