Britney Spears is planning to shock and wow the world with her MTV comeback performance. Here’s more:

Of primary importance: her collaboration with Criss Angel on an opening act for MTV’s Video Music Awards, which she reportedly presented to network reps on August 27.

…“She’s planning it to be a big comeback performance,” says a Spears insider, who adds that the goal is to make it “shocking.” One early idea that was canned. Performing “My Prerogative” amid a medley of hits, as images of exes Justin Timberlake, 26, and Kevin Federline, 29, and other gossip fodder flashed on a screen behind her.

As for a report that she’d do a duet with Timberlake? “Totally, patently false,” says a Timberlake source.

No matter what Britney does during her MTV performance I doubt anyone will be shocked, afterwards it would be nice to see her reaction when she is told … no one watched. What would be shocking, would be Britney cancelling her MTV performance, going back to rehab, retiring from music for now, cleaning up her act, and becoming a good mother.

Nothing says football like a bowl of chips, a case of beer, and Ryan Seacrest? In the "pull my other leg and it plays Jingle Bells" news, TMZ is reporting that the metrosexual-in-denial will, indeed, have a presence at this year’s Super Bowl. Apparently, he’ll be handling pre-game and halftime hosting duties. Rumor has it Seacrust was actually on the fence about the hosting job, but the NFL threw in free mani/pedi’s for a year. Sold!

First we saw Janet Jackson’s boob. Now Ryan Seacrest will be hosting the Super Bowl. If douche-of-the-year Criss Angel mindfreakifies the half time show, I will live underground for the rest of my life eating grub worms and drinking sewage.

Criss Angel is trying to set some sort of record for banging the most Hollywood sluts. He’s going out with Britney Spears now. Ha ha ha. Like it’s really hard to get Britney in to bed. All you have to say is "you’re pretty, you’re sexy, I want you," and her clothes just fall off. The pair were seen in the Towers Hotel in Beverly Hills at 4 am this morning headed up to a suite on the 11th floor together. If Criss were a really good magician he’d do us all a favor and make Britney disappear.

Criss Angel’s wife says the magic has gone from their marriage and she now wants to make him vanish from her life. Angel, known for his "Mindfreak" show on the A&E network, subdued his sometimes flashy look for a court hearing Friday. But Criss, whose real name is Christopher Sarantakos, flashed a bit of humor during a break, gesturing toward his estranged wife’s lawyer and saying, "I can make him disappear."

Criss’ estranged wife, Joanne Sarantakos, complains he hasn’t given her "a cent" of his millions. It’s all about the money.

Cameron Diaz’s publicist, Brad Cafarelli, said in a statement Monday that Angel was already separated from his wife when Diaz met him in May.

"Cameron and Criss went on only four dates over a month ago and have no current relationship," the statement said. "These are meaningless, attention-seeking attempts to unfairly and unnecessarily exploit Cameron’s celebrity by trying to involve her in matters she has nothing to do with."

Criss and Cameron went on only four dates, and she probably slept with him on all four. Sounds like Cameron is a lot of fun. It seems the only reason Criss’ estranged wife is now divorcing him is because she can’t get money out of him any other way. I’d laugh if Cameron sued the estranged wife for slander and got all the money Criss paid her.

I don’t know why Criss Angel’s estranged wife didn’t name Paris Hilton since he was spotted all over Paris Hilton in Vegas on a weekend in October, 2006 while she was in town for her best friend Kim Kardashian’s 26th birthday. If Criss’ estranged wife would start reading the gossip blogs she’d have all the evidence she needs to make informed accusations.

Joanne Sarantakos who claims she is Criss Angel’s wife of five years, says Criss and Cameron Diaz have been having an affair. Joanne makes the bigger point that she wants a share of the millions of dollars Criss has earned over the years. Criss would probably like to make his wife disappear right about now, and if he could, men everywhere would start becoming magicians too and then Criss would be out of a job. Here’s more:

In testimony to the New York Supreme Court, her lawyer accused Angel of adultery with Diaz, whom the magician has praised as ‘one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood.’

The lawyer, Dominic Barbara , said he has had Criss (39) tailed by a private investigator and will demand that Diaz testify about the affair. ‘We’re naming Cameron Diaz as his lover,’ he told the court. ‘We will subpoena her.’
