Colin Farrell Copies Woody Allen and Lands Film Role

  Share

Colin Farrell won his role in Woody Allen’s new movie after subconsciously mimicking the director during a brief meeting. The Irishman was so nervous when he met his idol, he fears he may have appeared neurotic, and initially felt sure he’d missed the chance to work with Allen.

He says, “I went along and I met him. They said, ’It’s not going to be a very long meeting,’ and the meeting lasted about 47 seconds. I was like, ’What just happened?’ and my agent called and said the meeting went very well, but he said that I did a great impersonation of him, and I couldn’t figure it out.

“But I was so nervous meeting Woody Allen that he went, ’Colin, really nice to meet you,’ and I went, ’(It’s) really nice to meet you too (just like him).’ Swear to God I had no idea I was doing it… I still got the movie. He’s lovely to be around. He seems like a very gentle man.”

The film, which started shooting in London at the beginning of this week, also features Ewan McGregor, and Tom Wilkinson, and is tentatively called the “Untitled Woody Allen Summer Project.”

Colin Farrell Confronted on Tonight Show

  Share

“Access Hollywood” broke the news that Colin Farrell was surprisingly confronted on stage as he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno by a woman who sued him for harassment. Dessarae Bradford alleged in a small-claims lawsuit that Farrell stalked her with inappropriate calls and text messages, but her lawsuit against Farrell was dismissed.

Yesterday, Bradford was a studio audience guest at “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and surprisingly confronted him walking up to him on the stage. According to other audience members, Bradford left a copy of her self-published book, “Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy,” on Leno’s desk.

According to a studio audience guest, Farrell calmly walked Bradford off stage and then, as she was escorted off the set, she shouted, “I’ll see you in court” and Farrell retorted, “You’re insane.”

When asked about the incident by “Access Hollywood’s” Billy Bush at last night’s Los Angeles Miami Vice premiere, Farrell replied, “I don’t know. I don’t know.”

Sergeant Gunn of the Burbank Police Department told “Access Hollywood,” she was “identified” and advised not to return to NBC property. Gunn added that she was detained by the police, but not officially taken into custody.

Farrell has really been pulling his life together, and he doesn’t need insane stalker women who try to accuse him of what they are doing, to harass him while he promotes his work.

Colin Farrell Quit Drinking for His Son

colinintro Colin Farrell Quit Drinking for His Son

Colin Farrell checked himself into rehab to treat exhaustion, and an addiction to painkillers, because he wants to be sober for the sake of his infant son. The star decided to get clean seven months ago and has not touched a drop of alcohol in half a year. The 30-year-old claims he has a new sense of purpose, brought about by his love for his two-year-old son James.

Farrell says, “I was burning the candle at both ends and flames met in the middle. It just caught up with me. It was a long time coming but I had my a** handed to me on a plate. Now I haven’t had a drink in six months. I have a new-found appreciation for my life. I wasn’t suicidal but I never had much of a will to live for a long time. Now I want to watch my son grow up, be his friend and his father, and hang around with him. So he’s the greatest priority in my life.” Farrell is still smoking, but he deserves a lot of credit. One step at a time.

In the picture Farrell is on the set of his new movie. A female appears to have taken a great interest in his butt.

There are 3 more pictures in the gallery after the jump…

Lindsay Lohan Takes On Paris Hilton and P. Diddy

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton

It was a busy, and feisty, night for Lindsay Lohan (Blohan) last Friday in New York. The freckled phenom not only mixed it up with Paris Hilton, she got into it with P. Diddy and his posse as well.

According to Rush & Molly, during an impromptu private concert given by Prince at the downtown celeb-boite Butter, Lohan spotted Hilton and followed her into the bathroom to continue their ongoing feud concerning one-time Hilton paramour Stavros Niarchos. When she came back, Diddy and his people had slipped into her booth, which Lohan apparently joked about – a gesture that Diddy didn’t receive too kindly.

“He didn’t realize she was joking,” says R&M’s source, “and he then yelled at her and told her to get out,” at which point a Diddy bodyguard had her forcibly removed. A member of Diddy’s group remembers it differently in Page Six: “Lindsay was being so loud and obnoxious. His security became concerned and came over to escort her away.” Regardless, Lohan left the club and moved on later to Bungalow 8, where her entourage and Hilton’s gang had yet another stare-down.

Hilton’s rep Elliot Mintz tells R&M that “Paris was in the ladies room [at Butter] applying her makeup when Lindsay knocked on the door. But there was no battle. Paris has nothing negative to say about Lindsay.”

And so the battle of good and evil continues bwahahahaha.

Miami Vice A Major Bomb?

Miami Vice
Miami Vice

Weeks before its release, the buzz on “Miami Vice,” director Michael Mann’s remake of his Eighties TV series, isn’t good, according to Fox News’ Roger Friedman. The flick, despite the pedigree of its helmer and the two stars, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, appears to be “a good-looking empty shell of a movie,” says Friedman.

The film is costing $125 million, according to an insider, and might be as much as $150 million. “Michael still has time to fix it, but not much,” says a source, referring to the film’s July 28 opening. “But he would have to pull off a miracle to make it work.”

Farrell is hoping for the miracle, Friedman notes that his last several films (”The New World,” “Alexander,” “SWAT,” among them) have been notable duds.
