Christian Bale (35) is dropping his weight to play drug addicted boxer Dicky Eklund in his next film. Bale gained weight to play Batman, but lost 63 lbs for a role in The Machinist.

The money must be really good.

The official trailer for Terminator Salvation has been released. The movie stars Christian Bale as John Connor, and Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright. On May 1 salvation begins. Can’t wait to see this one!

The Family Guy did a spoof of Christian Bale going nuts on the set of terminator. Bale’s rant is priceless, and it goes with everything, like coffee … with ulcers being the exception.

Christian Bale issued an apology for his profanity filled tirade on the movie set of Terminator Salvation. Bale called in to KROQ on Friday to issue the apology on the Kevin and Bean Show. Bale said:

“It’s been a miserable week for me."

"Listen, I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now, but I understand this is live, so please don’t worry, I will behave."

"The thing that I really want to stress is that I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order, beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that and there is nobody that has heard that tape that it’s hit harder by it than me. So I make no excuses for it. It is inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear.”

“One thing that has really disturbed me throughout this, because I’m not familiar, I’m comfortable yet with this notion of being a movie star. I’m an actor and I’m don’t quite know how to handle the movie star thing. The thing that disturbs me so much is that I’ve heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I’m better than anybody else."

"I’m embarrassed by it. I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely."

"Feel free to make fun of me at my expense; I deserve it completely."

We can tell Bale believes people are making a lot out of this just because he’s a big movie star now, but he’s missing the point entirely. Bale’s mother and sister had him arrested for verbal assault because of the same temper. He needs counseling to understand how to control his behavior, so he can keep himself from being triggered into a rage. Next time his behavior could cost him his career, or he could be arrested again and lose his freedom.

Get help rather than excuse this all on being famous. It’s not enough to say you have a problem, and then do nothing to correct it.

Whoopi Goldberg gave an enlightening defense of the Christian Bale cursing rant when a lighting director walked through the set during filming of a scene in Terminator Salvation.

After listening to Whoopi, and the other ladies on The View, I agree with both sides. The lighting director did act unprofessionally, and Bale does have anger issues that are easily triggered. Bale really needs some counseling to help him overcome that easily trigger anger.
