Tony Romo broke up with Jessica Simpson on July 9 just before her 29th birthday. Jessica did not appear to know a breakup was coming however. On July 2 Jessica wrote a note to her friend Emmy Rossum on Twitter:

"Can’t wait to see your costume on the 10th! Birthday evite coming soon. You are always the best dressed!!!"

Prior to the breakup Jessica and Tony had seen each other last on July 1 when she sang the National Anthem at the National Golf Tournament in Bethesda, Maryland, and Romo played a practice round with Tiger Woods.

After the breakup Tony partied with friends, and Jessica celebrated her birthday quietly with family, and close friends.

On Sunday Jessica wrote on Twitter:

"Everyone needs to know that hope floats … grab the strings and pull it back to you. Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace."

But why did Tony breakup with Jessica if she was so "in love" with Tony. Well …

Another report says Tony looked at Jessica’s phone when he reunited with Jessica on Thursday in Los Angeles, but she got defensive, so Tony looked further. A source said:

“They were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic.”

When Tony saw the messages were from John Mayer the source says:

“Tony dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it.”

That is the smartest decision Tony will ever make in his life. Now if he could just stop dating bimbos.

Vanessa Minnillo (28) and Nick Lachey (35) have split. Minnillo’s rep says the former couple:

"… have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another."

It looks like unemployed Minnillo’s plan to marry rich Lachey failed, so she’ll have to find work now.

Rumors that Kanye West and Amber Rose had broken off their relationship have been confirmed by West’s rep who said:

"They are no longer a couple."

It’s not like they were serious anyway.

Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt broke up last night after a stormy six month relationship that involved the cops responding to a domestic dispute not once but twice. The latest fight came last night at The Darkroom in Los Angeles, which ended with Paris storming out of the club, then sitting with a friend crying her pouty baby eyes out (video below).

Doug attempted to visit Paris early this morning at her home, but was turned away by security at her gated community. Doug refused to leave until the police were called, and they told him to leave.

Paris’ rep confirmed the split saying:

"In response to inquiries on whether Paris Hilton has split with Doug Reinhardt, we can confirm this is true. They are no longer together. They remain friends and we ask that you please respect their privacy. Paris will not discuss the relationship further."

A source said Paris is happy to be rid of Doug:

"Doug is a douche just like everyone tried to tell her, and that he was only dating her for publicity."

We’re so glad this relationship is over. One or both of them was going to end up in jail.

Last week it was announced that Peter Andre (36) split with Katie Price (30) because he intends to divorce her. Some called it a publicity stunt, but then Katie’s manager also cut ties with her due to her declining career. Katie blamed Peter, and Peter claimed Katie drinks way to much, and when she does Peter says he can’t trust her.

The couple’s split is now making sense. Katie the other day said not to believe everything you read, but then we saw the pictures. It is now rumored that Peter had become jealous of dressage rider Andrew Gould (29), who Katie is rumored to be having an affair with. Although Katie denies the affair Gould said in a statement:

"I would say Peter is jealous because we have a close link, as far as horses go. It’s just a horse thing."

We hope this is just a publicity stunt, but we have seen how much Peter and Katie fight. Work it out you two, the kids are need both their parents.
