Brody Jenner had surgery to remove his appendix on the morning of his 26th birthday, which was August 21. Brody’s rep said:

"He is resting with family and friends and expected to have a speedy recovery."

The worst part of an appendectomy is that first number 2. Get well soon Brody.

Drake, who tore his ACL in a show while performing with Lil Wayne, had set after the injury he would be getting knee surgery the next day. It turns out Drake had injured the same knee previously, and was wearing a brace at the time. Rather than getting the much needed surgery, Drake put it off.

On Sunday Drake announced he would finally be getting surgery for his three torn ligaments on September 8. Drake described the night of the injury:

"The stride that I had, I planted with my right and I had a brace on," he recalled of the moment. "I would say it was borderline more painful than the initial tear. It was bad. It buckled, popped. I was down. I remember slapping the ground. I couldn’t believe it. I saw the lights coming down. [And I was thinking] ’Did I just fall?’ I was in so much pain then that I didn’t care at the time. They actually cut a nice pair of jeans that I had, all the way up. Bad. But it’s all part of my story. I feel like maybe it needed to happen. I came out on that tour for one reason and one reason only – I didn’t show up for the money or the fact that I even needed it right now. I showed up there for the fans that genuinely saw me on the tour [bill] and said, ’That’s why I’m going.’"

Drake’s big mistake is that he didn’t take care of business, his knee, before taking care of business, entertaining his fans.

This may look like Julia Roberts, but it’s really Steven Tyler with actor Chuck Slavin at Pembroke Center Liquors in Massachusetts on Friday.

Tyler broke his should recently after falling off a stage, and it turned him into this.

The part that sucks most about Tyler’s fall is that the crowd in South Dakota didn’t catch him (video below).

Drake, aka Aubrey Drake Graham, (22) was performing with Lil Wayne in Camden, New Jersey on Friday when he fell onstage during The Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival.

Drake tried to perform despite a doctor’s advice against it. The doctor had informed Drake, before the tour, that his ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) in his knee was torn, leaving his knee completely unstable, and at risk for further injury if he didn’t stay off it.

After falling onstage Drake wrote on Twitter:

“All is well… on the bus laying down… getting surgery this week, but I’m walking.”

Most ACL surgeries are successful, but it could be six months before Drake is completely recovered. Hopefully Drake will give his knee the time it needs to heal properly.

Adam Yauch, who is a member of the Beastie Boys, announced the band will be cancelling some shows. Yauch said he will hav surgery next week for to remove a tumor in his left parotid gland (salivary gland), and a lymph node nearby, that were both found to contain cancer. Yauch says he will also have localized radiation therapy.

Although Yauch tried to play down the seriousness of this type of cancer, it can become life threatening.

Roger Ebert had the same exact cancer which spread to his left jaw, and had to have extensive surgery since the cancer kept coming back. Later Ebert’s carotid artery ruptured in his neck after being weekend by repeated localized radiation treatments. Now Ebert cannot speak, and he looks like he is living a miserable existence.
