Sarah Howard has been identified as Dave Navarro’s girlfriend. Navarro denies having a girlfriend, but perhaps if the question was rephrased like this, “do you have a lover other than Carmen Electra?,” then maybe he would have answered differently. We’ll see soon enough. Carmen still has to make her public statement as well. Here’s what Navarro said on his blog today:

So, there are a few questions that I am willing to address. These I’ll answer, but I am not taking any others. I figure it’s better to say something here than anywhere else.

1. Do you have a girlfriend?

No. I have been living at home, touring, making and promoting a record or shooting Rockstar for the past several months. There is absolutely no way I could be living with someone in New York.

2. What does amicably separated mean?

It means that Carmen and I love each other, we are and always will be best friends. In fact, we are supporting each other through this time. What better way to get through a tough spot than with your best friend?

Dave Navarro is spending a lot of time with his girlfriend of five months, socialite Sarah Howard, even though he and his soon to be ex-wife, Carmen Electra, continued to pretend to be together at public outings.

“Carmen is so focused on her career, she doesn’t even care,” Dave told Sarah, “it’s totally over between me and Carmen.” “Everybody knows about Dave and Sarah now,” she says.

The couple’s publicist Brit Reece said on Monday, “They are amicably separating.” He declined to provide further details of the break up. Carmen’s marriage to Navarro was her second. For a brief period in the late 1990s, she was married to professional basketball star Dennis Rodman.

After less than three years of marriage, reports have confirmed that Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro have called it quits. Electra’s rep Brit Reese said, “They are amicably separating.”

The provocative pair have no children and documented their November 2003 nuptials in the MTV reality series “Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen + Dave.”

Electra is currently filming the movie “I Want Candy”, while Navarro serves as a judge on the CBS reality series “Rock Star: Supernova.”

Maybe the split came after Electra realized Navarro was really a closet homosexual.

The singer and former Baywatch star shot the video for A.C.D.C. in New York City last week.

Carmen and Joan play a would-be couple in the clip, but Carmen’s character can’t decide if she’d rather be with a man or a woman.

Earlier this year the sexy actress revealed that she’d always had a girlie crush on Joan.

Carmen said: “Remember that video where she comes out with a trench coat on and she opens up the trench coat and she’s wearing a bikini and then she’s rocking out with a guitar?

“She’s hot.”
