Brad Pitt really is trying to bring back a little glam into Hollywood, only this is the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Joining Pitt are George Clooney, Scott Caan, Don Cheadle, Andie Garcia, Matt Damon, and the only woman Ellen Barkin. Angelina Jolie is expected to join the cast at tonight’s premiere.

Paris Hilton may be reading the Holy Bible, but Mischa Barton is reading I Hate My Best Friends’ Kids. Mischa doesn’t hate your kids, just her best friends’ kids.

Mischa has such a glamorous life. She was at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. While there she spent time on Roberto Cavalli’s yacht, and even got to ride his Segway. I want one, but how do you lock it so no one can steal it when you go into a store? Mischa also got to hang out with model Lily Cole.

Now Mischa is back in Hollywood having a cute little picnic with her dog. Woof.

Like Paris, Mischa did smoke a freshly rolled joint just for Jesus.

Jessica Simpson is one of a large list of stars that has to attend a lot of events to keep everyone from forgetting she still exists. She said at 2007 Cannes Film Festival where she is promoting a movie that hasn’t even started production yet:

“It’s basically this girl who’s a major movie star, who wants to be more respected because she always gets the blonde bimbo parts. She doesn’t get the roles she wants and ends up walking in on her costar, who is her boyfriend, and her hairdresser! And she figures she doesn’t want this life anymore. So she joins the Marines.”

“I’m back on an extreme diet and workout,” she said. “I have to be able to do take after take of push-ups and climbing walls and going through trenches and what-not! In honor of Moore, Simpson adds, “I’m working on my one armed push-up-in my high heels!”

Um, good luck with that. Might I suggest a body double.

…and then there’s that fake relationship with John Mayer. In Touch Weekly reports:

John – who split with Jessica last Monday, insiders say, because he needed more space – was seen exiting Jessica’s hotel, the Soho Grand in New York, at 12 p.m. today. “He was looking really happy,” an eyewitness tells In Touch. “He couldn’t stop smiling.”

A pal of Jessica’s confirms, “They definitely went on a date last night,” but cautions that the once-divorced star isn’t ready to get back together with John immediately. “She still loves him, but he’s not stable,” the friend explains. “He’s scared of commitment. He breaks up with her and then regrets it and then begs her to get back together.”

Does Jessica know what a booty call is? Probably not. It’s better that she doesn’t know for John’s sake.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival to promote A Mighty Heart. Angie starred in the movie, and Brad produced it. The couple are occupying 4 extra-large suites at the Hotel Du Cap with their 4 kids.

The couple also enjoyed some romance at the Moulin de Mougins restaurant in Mougins, near Cannes.

When the couple first showed up they were semi-casual, but brought out the old school real star glamorous look. They looked absolutely gorgeous. These stars get paid huge amounts of money for these movies, let’s see more evening gowns, and black tie tuxedos like the old days.

This is one of those rare occasions that Jolie actually looks halfway happy.

When Bai Ling attends an event you can count on her to bring her own fashion sense and style. She is currently at the Cannes Film Festival promoting Shanghai Baby. I probably won’t see many movies she makes, but I love to see the clothes she wears.
