Cameron Diaz spent some quality time with surf champion Kelly Slater during a private surf lesson in Hawaii this week on the North Shore of Oahu.

Recent reports say the two have been spending a lot of time together in the wake of Cameron’s split from Justin Timberlake, and that the duo hit various golf courses and restaurants on the island, and even say that Diaz is shacking up at Slater’s island home.

Cameron is the perfect bang buddy.

Yesterday I reported that Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake were civil at the Golden Globe Awards, but it appears that was short lived.

Cameron Diaz is not over Justin Timberlake just yet, and things got heated when she saw her ex chatting up Jessica Biel in L.A. after the Golden Globes. Sources say the temperamental star "blew up" at Biel after she saw Timberlake flirting with her. Diaz followed Timberlake to the In Style party at the Hilton Oasis, where "they had an awkward conversation." The "Charlie’s Angels" star then trailed Timberlake to the Beverly Hilton rooftop for the Universal party, where she found him chatting up Biel, and screamed at Biel. "If that’s how she wants to get him back, it won’t work," said our insider. "She’s desperate." Reps for Diaz did not return our call.

Cameron Diaz is used to getting the diva royal treatment, and yesterday at LAX was no exception.

Although Diaz carried her own bags and used the ticket kiosk to check in, Diaz was soon met by an airport employee who helped her get through the necessary security hassle as quickly as possible.

Cameron is allowed to cut to the head of the security line, bypassing all other patiently waiting passengers. Movie star coming through! Luckily, A-listers can’t sidestep all the rules, as Diaz still had to remove her shoes to pass through the metal detectors.

Justin Timberlake cozies up to Sheryl Crow and Eva Longoria at the In Style/Warner Bros. party, a safe distance from Diaz. All the playful attention (Crow kissed Timberlake on the cheek, while Longoria pulled at his collar) caused the newly single pop star to break out into a little happy dance as he nibbled on dumplings, egg rolls and pork buns.

On January 7, 2007 I reported that Justin Timberlake confirmed a split between himself and Cameron Diaz. Today both officially confirmed the rumors of their breakup.

They issued the following joint statement today:

"It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we’ve spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media. We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another."

Diaz, 34, and Timberlake, 25, began dating in 2003 after meeting at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.

They called it quits just before the new year, with one source pinpointing the pair’s split to have taken place between their lovey-dovey December 16 night on the set of Saturday Night Live and Timberlake’s Christmas Day trip to visit Diaz in Vail, Colorado.

However, you can see the former couple together again (in cartoon form anyway) when they costar in the upcoming animated sequel, Shrek the Third.

Who is Justin dating now? He was spotted with Scarlett Johansson, and rumor is they are dating. Scarlett is admittedly promiscuous, so it’s more like friends with benefits.
