Cameron Diaz went bald for her role in her new movie My Sister’s Keeper. Diaz plays a mother of a girl with leukemia.

Dakota Fanning pulled out of the movie because she would have to shave her head, but she doesn’t have a problem playing a young girl who gets raped. The new girl did shave her head, but Diaz wore a bald cap.

Abigail Breslin is also in the movie shown here at the Santa Monica pier yesterday.

Cameron Diaz made a statement to Us magazine about her father, Emilio Diaz (58), who died Tuesday from pneumonia:

"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family. My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."

So unexpected. So sad. Make a point today to tell the important people in your life what you’ve always wanted to tell them, because tomorrow they could be gone forever.

Emilio Diaz (58), the father of Cameron Diaz, died this morning from pneumonia. Emilio was said to have been in "terrific health," developed the flu, which progressed to pneumonia, then he died suddenly. Emilio worked as a foreman for an oil company.

This is heartbreaking.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been replaced by Kelly Slater, who is now dating Bar Rafaeli. Tom Brady is dating Leonardo’s other ex Gisele Bundchen. Slater got into a scuffle with photographers on Saturday while in Israel with Rafaeli, and was detained by police. Earlier in the year the same thing happened when Leonardo visited Rafaeli in Israel, only it was Leonardo’s body guards, and not Leonardo. Rafaeli had vowed not to bring any else who was famous with her to Isarael because of the trouble with photographers. Slater really isn’t famous despite boning Pamela Anderson and Cameron Diaz, so he probably had to fight photogs just to get his name in the paper. So sad.

Scarlett Johansson is currently filming He’s Just Not That Into You with Bradley Cooper, who is rumored to be dating Cameron Diaz. Bradley’s next movie will be Yes Man with Jim Carrey. Although I don’t know what Scarlett’s next project will be yet, I am sure she won’t be playing someone smart, and if she did, it would have to be some sort of fantasy science fiction movie with an alternate universe where her boobs are actually her brains. This means, of course, that women would then be twice as smart as men in that movie, which is … well … only science fiction, not science fact, or is it? Do do do do, do do do do.
