Simon Monjack Cancels Brittany Murphy Party Due to his Own Illness

Simon Monjack formed what he claimed to be a foundation in the name of his dead wife Brittany Murphy so he could collect money, after he announced he already added $1 million of his own money to the foundation’s coffers:
On Thursday, Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack is hosting a launch party to celebrate the Brittany Murphy Foundation, which is dedicated to arts education for children.
He is suggesting dollar amounts of $1,000 per individual and $10,000 from corporations to attend the event
Says a source, “Everyone thinks it’s very tacky that he is making it so much about money.”
Does anyone believe him? A reader at WWTDD sent in a fake email (above) which pretty much sums up the perception that Monjack is a con-man.
Let’s review some of the facts about Monjack’s history:
-
In 2005, warrants were issued for Monjack in Virginia for credit-card fraud and theft.
-
Also in 2005 he was evicted from his apartment in New York for owing $7,025 in back rent. This was one of 4 times that he was evicted between 1997 and 2006.
-
In 2006, a British bank received a court judgment against him of $470,132.
-
In April of 2007, Monjack disappeared for 10 days claiming he had been kidnapped and held for ransom, which Brittany paid, when in fact he was in jail.
-
One month later Brittany married him in a secret ceremony after dating for 4 months.
-
In November of 2007, his ex-wife, Simone Bienne, sued him for the $63,000 she was awarded in a divorce but he never paid. Another woman he was engaged to said he had given her a cubic zirconia engagement ring but claimed it was a diamond.
Monjack has cancelled the Foundation party due to Monjack’s own illness, or perhaps because less people were going to show up than did at Pamela Anderson’s clothing line launch in Miami.

Brittany Murphy Died

Brittany Murphy was declared dead on Sunday morning at 10:04 am at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after being found passed out in the bathroom about 7:30 am. She was only 32 years-old. This should come as a shock, but it doesn’t because Murphy was a Hollywood actress.
The first thought many people had was that Simon Monjack must have killed her, but police said right away foul play was not suspected. The autopsy, which Monjack said he did not want, was normal, but we’re still waiting for the toxicology report, and even prior to that we already know Brittany was taking a bunch of drugs that could have easily contributed to the cardiac arrest that is suspected to have caused her death.
I suspected Brittany had some mental issues after seeing her unusual affection for such an ugly fat man like Monjack, and it appears my suspicion has support.
TMZ says:
Brittany Murphy’s husband and mother made a frantic attempt to revive her before paramedics arrived … this according to notes written by an investigator from the L.A. County Coroner’s office. And, there were a shocking number of strong prescription meds on Brittany’s nightstand.
TMZ has reviewed the documents, written by Investigator Blacklock. According to his notes, Brittany Murphy "had been complaining of shortness of breath and severe abdominal pain" for 7 to 10 days prior to her death. According to the notes, Murphy went into the bathroom at around 7:30 AM Sunday and shut the door.
A half hour later Brittany’s mother, Sharon Murphy, went to check on her daughter, opened the bathroom door and "discovered the decedent lying on the floor unresponsive." According to the notes, Sharon yelled for help. Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, who was in bed, heard the screams and ran to the bathroom.
According to the notes, Sharon called 911 and Simon "attempted to revive the decedent by placing her in the shower and running the water."
The notes continue — "The decedent remained unresponsive and purged her stomach contents prior to the arrival of the paramedics."
When the paramedics arrived, Brittany was "without signs of life."
Paramedics moved Brittany from the bathroom to the master bedroom, where they found a slew of prescription drugs — "A check of the nightstands revealed large amounts of prescription medication in the decedent’s name. Also noted were numerous empty prescription medication bottles in the decedent’s husband’s name, the decedent’s mother’s name and unidentified third party names."
According to the notes, the medications included Topamax (anti-seizure meds also to prevent migraines), Methylprednisolone (anti-inflammatory), Fluoxetine (depression med), Klonopin (anxiety med), Carbamazepine (treats Diabetic symptoms and is also a bipolar med), Ativan (anxiety med), Vicoprofen (pain reliever), Propranolol (hypertension, used to prevent heart attacks), Biaxin (antibiotic), Hydrocodone (pain med) and miscellaneous vitamins.
The notes say, "No alcohol containers, paraphernalia or illegal drugs were discovered."
According to the notes, "The night prior to her death, the decedent had consumed some noodles, leftover Thai food, Gatorade, water and tea with lemon."
The notes also say Brittany had a history of hypoglycemia and was hospitalized in April 2009 for low blood sugar while on location in Oregon."
Monjack told the investigator during the 7 to 10 days prior to her death, Brittany complained of shortness of breath and severe abdominal pains but he was not overly alarmed because "she often suffered from severe menstrual pains."
The investigator spoke with police at the scene, who told him "foul play is not suspected."
People says:
Brittany Murphy came to Hollywood as a teenager full of talent and promise – but struggled to reach her full potential over her 18-year career, sources tell PEOPLE, due to a set of "inner demons" that included troubling body image issues.
"She was drastically different when she entered the business," a friend tells PEOPLE "Full of life, determined. But over the past few years, [she went] downhill. There was always something off, something in the way. She had a lot of inner demons."
Two weeks before Murphy’s sudden Dec. 20 death at age 32, her frail form raised eyebrows at the Tt Collection Pop-up Party in Los Angeles Dec. 3, resurrecting eating disorder and drug abuse rumors that have shadowed the actress for years.
In 2002, after Murphy revealed a radically slimmed-down silhouette in the film Spun – a departure from the rounder figure that fans remembered from her breakout 1994 film, Clueless – tabloids linked her weight loss to cocaine.
Three years later, she attempted to set the record straight: "I have never tried it in my entire life," she insisted to Jane magazine. "I’ve never even seen it It couldn’t be further from the truth."
The same year, while promoting Sin City, she fought back against reports saying she had an eating disorder.
"I’m the same size I was in Clueless; it’s just that the weight in your face changes as you grow and get older," she said. "This is my body. I’m proud of it I’m healthy."
Yet friends tell a different story.
This is a sad end to a great actress, who appears to have caused her own demise through self-abuse, much like many of her peers, some of whom have yet to meet their end. It is comforting to know that Monjack isn’t suspected of doing anything to harm Brittany despite years of reports making him look like some sort of villain.
Some people achieve success because they are never happy with themselves, then when they run out of things to achieve they self destruct.

Brittany Murphy Kissing Simon Monjack

I am convinced Brittany Murphy suffers from some sort of mental illness. Here she is kissing her husband Simon Monjack. I wonder if Brittany can taste Simon’s triple cheese burger, and extra thick milkshake he just ate for lunch.
This isn’t love, this is a sickness. Anyone want to play shrink and give us your analysis.

That Simon is delicious. Shake it, don’t break it.

Brittany Murphy is Difficult to Work With

Brittany Murphy is in Los Angeles working on her new movie Across the Hall. A source said:
"She’s extremely difficult. When she gets to the set, it comes to a grinding halt. She’s so hot and cold, you never know. Murphy insists on having diagonally cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the crusts removed. She needs one every hour. It’s painstaking, her assistant takes about a half an hour making each one."
Brittany’s creepy husband, Simon Monjack, has been intervening on the set of the movie so much, producers had to have a meeting to figure out how to deal with him. Simon and Brittany are shown above at Fashion Week in New York yesterday. He’s such a dreamboat. Simon is like that white trash relative that comes to stay, but never seems to leave.

Brittany Murphy Will Believe Anything

A source who used to work for Brittany Murphy says Brittany is convinced "a high-powered Hollywood player" is stalking her. Back in April, her then boyfriend and now husband Simon Monjack disappeared for 10 days and Brittany claimed he had been kidnapped by agents of her stalker. However, the kidnapping exactly coincides with the dates that Monjack, a British citizen, was reportedly jailed by U.S. immigration for overstaying his visa.
"When he came back, he had head injuries," says the former insider. "He was pale and sometimes had trouble standing." Not only that, but the former staffer also claims Murphy said she was unable to pay him because the money had been used for ransom … Monjack, a screenwriter, is not short of enemies. Several anonymous sources have posted unflattering stories on the Internet about his past relationships. On June 13, a man identifying himself as Arturo Globenfeldt posted a message on Monjack’s Imdb.com page claiming he owes him $16 million in film investment money.
So the guy gets kicked out of the country for 10 days and then tells Brittany Murphy he was kidnapped and she believes him. This is actually scary. It sounds just like a Law and Order episode. Monjack’s story would have been more believable if he had said he had been kidnapped by aliens and their leader was Tom Cruise.
It is difficult to believe this story given the unnamed, former employee, who didn’t get paid source that was used. If Murphy was really that stupid she would have become a Scientologist years ago.
