George Takei and Brad Altman Got Married

George Takei (71) and Brad Altman (54) got married Sunday evening in a Buddhist ceremony in downtown Los Angeles. The couple have been together 21 years.

George Takei Snubs William Shatner at His Wedding

George Takei admits he has had disagreements with William Shatner in the past, and that he is inviting all his other Star Trek cast buddies to his wedding to Brad Altman, just not Shatner. It would have been better if Takei would have answered the question with a "no comment."
A wedding is an intimate experience, and Takei may only want his closest friends there, but it’s also a historical gay wedding. Takei could set a good example by demonstrating tolerance, forgiveness, and inclusion, rather than the opposite. Once the example is set, others will follow, and then comes resentment by the offended side. You can’t have a tug-of-war if only one person is holding the rope. Takei knows what I mean.
George Takei and Brad Altman are Getting Married

George Takei and Brad Altman has announced on his blog that he will marry his 21 year partner now that same sex marriage is legal in California. On his blog George says of Brad and marriage:
"He is my love and I can’t imagine life without him. Now, we can have the dignity, as well as all the responsibilities, of marriage."
